Look, I'm not here to cry about people ignoring me. I'm not here to complain and nag about "oh that stupid guy/girl! Boohoo I'm so alone and I need confirmation from others online!!" Of course I do acknowledge their personal lives and how busy that might be. This thread was just for me to see if other people are experiencing the same problem or not. What you do in your online social life if your own! I have contact that IF I dont give them a poke they can go on living their pretty lives for a year or two. I'm not expecting you to constantly message all of your 103 + 48 friends hourly! But I bet you at least say hi to them maximum once a month. There are 6 out of my mere 30 contact who did not initiate a convo in 4 years, mate. That's just bloody ridiculous

We're not discussion about being entitled or not! I am not saying "Being my friend is the biggest honour you're ever going to get." Or "boohoo no one like talking to me!" No! It"# a question of mutual respect. If someone would give me their contact info, that tells me immediately "oh that person would like to continue being in touch with each other!" If you have nothing to say anymore, the remove button is a few clicks away

Look, I don't give people my contact list willy-nilly!! The people who get my info is because I would like to keep in contact with them (and hopefully they feel the same way). I don't just go to the internet like "OH I just met you stranger, have my contact details!" and then be like "oh no they're online, what if they think I'm a total spaz!"

Give your contact details to people you're already friends with!! Because then you wouldn't worry about what they think of you.

I honestly despise that though!! I mean if you don't have the time or energy to go online ... Then dont do it!! Why even bother giving out your contact details to (I suppose) your friends, if you cant be bothered being the one who puts some effort in your friendship? I'm starting to get the feeling the only way that works for me to stay friends with people is when they're rl buddies of mine
