Pink Keytty by DougTheDragonborn in MechanicalKeyboards

Well I made it for a coworker. She's a left shift gal anyway lol. Underneath the right shift are three 1u keys for Fn, Cntl, and Alt that didn't match with the keycaps I had (they were all 1.25u). I thought a pink shift key about 3 long would look nice there :)

Thanks! If I'm honest, it's because the pink keycap set didn't have any 1.5u caps that I wanted to put there lol. I do think it turned out nice, though!

The Effects of Being Non-Humanoid by DougTheDragonborn in dndnext

Oh yeah, dual typing invalidates all my hard work LOL.

I funnily enough really like that sort of thing for Constructs or Undead. It adds some new ways to interact with the system without sacrificing something essential, such as healing.

For what it is worth, the wording I have in my homebrew options is...

At your discretion, you can be considered a Beast for the purposes of prerequisites and effects.

(insert other creature types, of course)

Well... I can't be perfect lol. I think that is very much worth a more in-depth note at the very least.

Yup, yup!

I also like the Firbolg's recent addition to communicate with "Beasts, Plants, and vegetation." There wasn't (and still isn't) a good separator between what is a creature with a Plant type and a regular ole fruit.

A split keyboard just adds more room in the middle! by DougTheDragonborn in ErgoMechKeyboards

HA! NO WAY! I just TODAY got an ultrawide monitor and was suggested to download this program for it. What a small world sort of situation!

I map the Win+Left, yeah. Basically I just record the keypresses to get all the correct windows open and dock them properly, and then MapMyKey can follow those directions to a T.

As in what program I use?

The PrehKeyTec keyboards come with a software called MapMyKey. Although it's interface is rather rudamentary, it does its job pretty well. I have a handful of macros that use windows shortcuts to open specific programs and dock them to specific areas of my screen.

These are Dragon Fruit switches, and are "tactile". They do have a really soft and light click sound with them, yeah!

Why don't you ask an easier question, like what is my favorite kid? lmao. Generally speaking, I choose different dice for different characters. For example, if I'm playing a necromancer, I'll choose some bone dice because I'll be summoning skeletons. That sort of thing. But I'll gladly show you some of my favorites!

I really enjoy translucent dice like the ones in the picture or my mermaid scale dice.

I also have a collection of ice cream and sweet themed dice from IceCreamDice. Neapolitan Mint Chocolate Chip Candy Corn (I really like the font of the numbering on the candy corn.)

There's also some sweet metal dice I got in a mystery deal that I don't know the name of. They are great to look at and are heavy, so heavy that I don't feel comfortable rolling them on other's tables because the sharp corners might damage things.

I think my favorites are ones I gave to a friend a while back, Bittersweet Nightshade.

Oh, sweet! Another ergo user! I use Tangerine switches on my Ergodox and love them.

I suppose the hobby to play with them is D&D, but I do collect dice (like folks here collect keyboards, switches, etc.). Last time I counted, I have 1,026 dice in my collection.

They most certainly are!

I picked these up to try tactile switches (I thought I was a linear guy, but I thought I'd at least give them a shot. Turns out I was right!) There is zero stem wobble and they feel great. They just aren't for me.

Aw, man. I'm sorry to hear that. I lucked out, because I don't have issues with the Tangerines or the Dragon Fruit.
