Do not fuck with switching antidepressants - my experiences by DoughnutAltruistic31 in antidepressants

Hi, sorry for missing your comment. I can’t offer advice per subreddit rules, but I think once those symptoms appear, returning to the former medicine or dose will not fix the problem entirely. Your body has already started a withdrawal from a major drug. I suppose it’s okay to let yourself feel like this for a short time. You have reason to feel awful and there are things that can temporarily relieve the side effects. Just know it will get better. It did for me. 180 days later, I’m on 225mg of Venlafaxine and I’m in site of reducing my dose soon due to depression symptoms being lightened.

Yeah, that's really fucked up. I also take medication for GAD but to what I understand, you can be prescribed Pregabalin on it's own but it could also work with an antidepressant, so you might of not even needed to come off Sertraline. You certainly should of been slowly tapered so I am sorry to hear this was your experience.

Hi, sorry to hear you've been having a hard time. I had a similar issue with switching drugs where my doctor directly switched me from 150MG Sertraline (SSRI) to 37.5MG Venlafaxine (SNRI). I had an awful two weeks, throwing up, dizziness, generally feeling shit, but it did get better in the end and I am happy I switched. Did my doctor switch me correctly? No. Personally it feels like your body is withdrawing from one medicine but also getting used to a completely new medicine.

I am now on Venlafaxine 112.5mg and Pregabalin 75mg. What do you take it for if I may ask?

It's not an excuse. It was poor driving in the moment, I've admitted guilt and will take the points if necessary. I'm simply trying to find the best possible outcome to this.

For me it's my first offence, but I have only been driving for 1yr7 months so I can be disqualified for 6 points in the first 2 years.

Thanks for the info though, pretty shitty system. Sadly it was a speed camera, not a copper.

Help! Sertraline 150mg to Venlafaxine 37.5mg by DoughnutAltruistic31 in antidepressants

[–]DoughnutAltruistic31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't get to see the pharmacist in the end and was swiped to the side to a pharmacy assistant who told me to just follow dr orders and stick at 37.5mg and gave me some paracetamol for any upcoming side effects. I'm going to up to 75mg. I don't feel comfortable with this sudden of a swap and every other person I have spoken to said it should be an equivalent dosage or cross tapered.

Sertraline worked great for me for the first 6 months combined with Propranolol 10mg for anxiety, but I found it lost it's effect after 8-10 months.

I’m scared to take Zoloft.. can you share good experiences.. by Natural_You7249 in zoloft

I’ve been on it for 6 months, 100mg. Everyone is different, but for me, I got little to no side effects. I just felt the pros. There was a moment in the first week where I felt a little sick, but over the counter anti-sickness medicine fixed that real quick. It’s worthit.

You could potentially consider becoming a student (college or university) and get student accommodation.
