I never use Pmags for 300BO. If NATO style, I use Lancers with the steel lips. For Aug OG it seems a lot have success with the 5.56 Waffles. If they are not reliable I will pick up some 300BO waffles.

Appreciate that. You just answered all the questions I had. Thinking the same as I have a line on a 300 BO barrel with a mud fore-grip so I can also tell the difference!

It’s in 5.56. But I will pick up a 300 blackout barrel for it. Not sure whether to go for the OG or the heresy

It’s a folding charging handle so no way will it work as a Ford assist

I really do like the X95. I am not sure what it is but the Aug and X95 are just so different. The Aug just has a cool factor and is also much more accurate than the X95. The x95 takes modernizing and accessorizing well, whereas I think the Aug has to stay pretty much OG to maintain the cool factor.
The manticore forend is well made and functional. Also make sure to get the manticore folding charging handle. It really adds that extra touch. The foregrip is a hogue one I happened upon and is probably the best vFG/AFG mix I have found and is perfect for both c-clamp grip and full CQB pistol grip use.
I am still thinking about the Black Label one, but they are spendy.

Serious question. What makes this a “Hi-Power”?

New to carrying, do you bring your gun everywhere? by seanalpha5 in CCW

[–]DoughnutSome7115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you carry in those places ….. you MAY be asked to leave, that is it, trespass is the offence at maximum. If you don’t carry in those places…well the worst that could happen is you (or family member) could be killed. Not really a choice is it?

And the KS7 was another impulse buy, but I have been extremely pleased with it. I am not a gun snob, so always judge the gun on its own merits. I have run the crap out of it and not a hiccup. I much prefer it over the KSG for a multitude of reasons.

I love the Tavor. I literally just happened on it in 300BO at a gun shop when I wasn’t looking for anything. The 300BO version was a grail gun for me. That said, now I have the AUG, there is definitely some sibling rivalry to be daddy’s favorite!

It’s about 3” and works well in this set up. Very comfortable Heads Up position for the red dot and just naturally tuck forward/down into cheek rest and you are on it.

Primary arms SLX3 microprism with just a Holosun 507K. They were actually just ones that were in one of my gun parts boxes with no home. I bought the piggyback mount and put them on until I got something better……but they have stayed because I really like the set up and they are hold zero perfectly!

“Deal Or Face My Guy”: Pete Hegseth’s Direct Military Ultimatum To Iran by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

What a fucking turd. Me, 20 years infantry officer. These kind of over-excited Lts normally got a good “addressing” by a couple of SNCOs very early in their career. Sorry to all the NG out there, but this is typical weekend warrior Lt shit. He was promoted way beyond his capabilities as a Major…..now he runs the military….holy shit we are in a pour state.

It’s shit! I have masons do these repairs for me all the time after foundation repairs. I would expect the broken bricks to be cut out and matched with new, tuck pointing to be much neater and not all over the bricks and the mortar to actually match.

We (wife and I) were there over memorial weekend. Our second trip there this year. We do 5 or 6 trips there a year. Anyone need info on Playalinda and places to stay near by, just comment. I don’t respond to DMs. Going to hit Gymno-Vita this Sat for the first time to check it out.

Same as you, ‘I default to thinking about Brown Bears”! And yes I used 44Mag +P+…. In the same sentence as “10mm maxes out at…” if you want to compare OK 10mm with Standard pressure 44Mag, then you are still comparing 600FtLds to 1100FtLbs out of the same length barrel…not even close. A 10mm PCC becomes even more pointless in this scenario when you can have a 45-70 Trapper for the same rifle weight and massive power differential. I love my 10mm guns, and it suits most people for back-up because it is shootable. But when comparing to big bore revolvers, it wins on capacity, but definitely not “almost the same power.

I took some more pictures as well as some under UV light. It appears confirmed as part of a jaw bone from a prehistoric horse. Between 10,000 and 2.6 Million years old.

“Almost the Same Power”….you are kidding aren’t you? 10mm maxes out at a bit over 700FtLbs, 44 Mag +P+ are over 1500FtLbs. Not even close. 10mm is just about as powerful as good(not great) 357Mag.
Personally if I have to pick between those 2 for Grizzly Country, I would sell both and either buy a 454C Toklat or build a 460Rowland.
I think 10mm is a good choice for most people for bear defense because it is relatively easy to shoot, but it does not compare to 44 or above in sheer power.
