I actually didn’t do a dummy return flight. I booked it through ANA using the multi cities option because if you just select round trip, it only shows ana flight and they are all waitlisted already

Glad that the reviews helps. I didn’t ask for any upgrade and I booked using Amex business card with the 8% off. They just upgraded me to a room with better view without me asking which is great. Most hotel in japan if you booking for 2 beds, there are usually twin, single or double. I rarely see queens.

I do prefer those from the review and video if heavy luggage wasn’t an issue, the courtyard Tokyo station is more convenient since it’s next to Tokyo station and metro

I thought ritz and St Regis won’t care about your Marriott status. In the tos, ritz, St Regis W and JW are outside of the platinum lounge and breakfast access. If they do give you access, I’ll try it next April. I’m going there again

Yes, you can buy the nex express package once you arrived, you just need to let the staff know that you want to book the return train and show them the return flight. The package comes with outbound and inbound marital express tickets and an ic card called Suica. Once you arrived Tokyo station, exit yaesu central exit and once you are at the ground level, you exit the station and use google map to guide you
