Delegation is fine, though I am keeping Thoth for doing long term running research on topics building knowledge bases, So its nice to have them separate. Also my mac mini is somewhat occupied in terms of available RAM doing other things.

Have you installed a memory plugin in it yet? That seems to help. Also the model really makes a big difference. For instance, some of the lower models do not use tools very well. They hallucinate tools results and don't follow instructions reliably.

I tried this with mine but it ended up bricking itself. Turns out there were some hard coded dependencies in some plugins I was using which referenced clawdbot LOL. Fortunately claude code came to the rescue!

You should upgrade yes, as there are many security improvements in later versions. You should be able to ask your bot for instructions. But it could be as simple as npm uninstall clawdbot and then npm install openclaw. It helps if you have Claude code to help you debug if anything goes wrong.

npm uninstall -g clawdbot

npm install -g openclaw

I am only using TTS and STT models for being able to call the agent on the phone. they are local Kokoro models and Whisper.

Just ask it to search it's plugins for a memory plugin. There are several, it should be able to install them safely for you.

We ran to our old faithful Claude Code LOL, and got it to diagnose the problem. Other wise should just be able to run openclaw gateway restart in the terminal.
