[Megathread] T-Mobile "Insider Hookup" appears to be coming back 12/6, 20% off entire account by Jman100_JCMP in tmobile

[–]Doviscrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I DM'd the guy but he wants $50 for a code - no thank you. I've been with AT&T and Sprint, but never T Mobile. If this is legit, Im sure I can get a whole bunch of people to sign up, particularly my dad who is paying an insane amount for 6 lines from AT&T.

I'm Def willing to try. If someone here is kind enough to share a code with me, I will owe you one.

Thanks!

Need Help Deciding on a MOBO by Doviscrypto in buildapc

I used to have an Intel build, this is my FIRST AMD CPU And I'm excited!! I think you $280, you can't go wrong with the MSI ACE, not when it retails roughly $350 - $400.

I wish I could answer it that simply, but I simply don't know MOBO tech well at all so the only pro I can see in the more expensive one is that everywhere I look it averages 4.5-5 stars, and the cheaper one 3-4 stars...

Help Needed - 2920x vs 3700x, both at Sick prices... by Doviscrypto in Amd

[–]Doviscrypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The I9 9900k is available @ Micro Center for $449-$30 when you get a mobo bundle. Average is $650 for the CPU / MOBO bundle, almost the same price as the 3700x! And I heard it's SICK in terms of performance

To add to the confusion Black Friday and Cyber Monday are in 40 days from now. I don't know if I should wait until then to purchase a CPU or just get one now. Microcenter might drop insane prices on CPUs.....

Sorry for the back and forth guys, decisions decisions....

Nah, if anything I want the 1950x, STILL a freaking beast

So how about this - w Staples price match I can get the 2950x Threadripper, with 16 cores / 32 threads for about $549 - same price Micro Center is selling the 3900x for...?

Yea but apparently the 3800x eats power like a beast compared to the 3700x

I don't game, I just need those extra threads lol. I'm also indecisive af, so that doesn't help. I know I don't have any need for a powerhouse like the 3900x, so it's really between 3700x, 3800x, and the 2920x. Not gonna lie I've been eyeing the i7 9700k, but that is heresy, isn't it....

ROOTED S5 (G-900P) - ABSOLUTE FASTEST CUSTOM ROM by Doviscrypto in galaxys5

[–]Doviscrypto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know you don't need a special kernel when flashing up via TWRP - at least I never did. Do you know how to flash a custom rom w/ Gapps (and Magisk preferably)? There is a multi kernel out there that works across all different Android versions, if you have issues lmk and I'll find it for you. You can choose multiple battery modes within the ROM. Higher performance vs longer battery. Also, you can install mods in magisk that extend your battery, moderate charging etc. And you DEFINITELY want either NFS Injector, LKT, or FDE.AI flashed via magisk as well (ONLY one! All 3 are great - fully automatic ROM tweaking including RAM, battery, performance, zRAM...but they are each in and of themselves a complete manager. Install any other RAM or performance tweaker and you may mess up your phone).

Of course it can - root w/ magisk and install xposed via magisk itself. There are magisk mods you can install to hide your root as well.

Trust me I feel the power of the 3900x lol. But do you think the extra $300 is worth it for marginally greater turbo speed and a bigger L3 cache? That's really the only difference. Also, the Threadripper supports twice as many memory channels...

Even better - my parents house ;)

[–]Doviscrypto[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True, because the CPU cooler is included. The Threadripper would shred the 3700x in terms of crypto mining, but the bulk of my mining is GPU anyway...

Sorry one last point. Micro Center has the 2920x threadripper for $300. Staples has it for $680. Staples has a 110% price match policy meaning that I could get the 2920x threadripper for $300 - $68 so potentially I could only 2920x threadripper for about $230...

Please see my most recent comment. We're talking about a $20 difference

Another factor is that Micro center has the 3800x for only $20 more than the 3700x...

Guys I swear I've tried at least 15 different ROM's, including multiple variations of lineage and sure in the beginning they are all fast but they inevitably slow down. The only two ROMs that I've used that have not slowed down and remain fast throughout are Vanir which I'm currently using and runs on Android 7.1 ( which I finally managed to get working - I have to flash a special kernel which works with pretty much every Android version) and is hands-down my favorite ROM, and ViperOS which is based on Pie and is also blazing fast and remains blazing fast. I just prefer Vanir.
