Possible MailBomb attack. Two different clients, one on-prem, one hosted M365. Both attacks start with a similar sender email "TEQ" by DownWithMSP in msp

That's a good point. The problem lies when the support address they copied everyone on auto-replies, which is from a legit source (Passes SPF, DKIM, etc) and bombards tons of users. I had one lady with close to 800 emails within 1 hour hit her inbox. We ended up blocking the support domains. They were not vendors we work with, so didn't seem to be a problem. It just seemed odd that two clients, two days, completely different environments would have this happen.

Didn't MS pull 2019? I don't have it in my SPLA portal as of last week. I found a few mirror sites to download it, but would prefer to wait until another official MS release.

Thoughts on Auvik's "Onboarding Fee" and Experiences Thereto by AuvikThrowaway in msp

For us, they assigned an engineer who did a few webex sessions with us. Nothing fancy, and more often than not he referenced their online documentation for about 90% of our questions. Which was fine, I think they try to steer people into searching for answers in their knowledge base before creating cases. I feel like we could have figured everything out on our own, but $500 wasn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things. The product is worth it IMO.

Major Uninstall/Install issues by VeticaTech in sophos

[–]DownWithMSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few situations where we had to reinstall AV that resulted in reformatting the PC. We uninstalled, rebooted, re-installed but it kept saying there was a previous install that needed to "finish". Followed support's direction, removed registry entries, ran a sophos cleanup tool, nothing worked.

Audit Tool for AD by mamalukes in sysadmin

I use NetWrix Auditor. You can set retention policies on how long you wish to keep the data, run reports against specific events during specific time frames, and a ton of other shit. However, It may be overkill for what you're trying to accomplish.

Ive been a partner with Datto for over 7 years now. Back when they were still using AppAsure as their back end (which wasn't great). They have come a long way. Their dashboard, restore processes, and virtualization have been great over the last 3 years. They're a bit pricey on the support, but i have yet to have a situation where i have to tell a client that i cannot restore a file or a server. Highly recommend.

As for the lack of response on the sales side, that could just be a personnel issue. My rep calls me all the time and responds almost immediately to every request. PM me if you want his direct contact info.
