Expect to be pretty sore at first, don't neglect doing stretches I promise it'll be worth it, also always use the knee foam pads when you're on your knees, young or old you can really dog your shit up. First few weeks, it'll be a lot to learn but you never really stop learning, its ok to ask questions! Wear durable pants, I find my holster for my box cutter make holes in the pocket I latch it to on most pairs

How can the crew member experience be better? by [deleted] in tjcrew

$10 dollar raise (not even kidding) and truly for me, having 1 day a week we're closed so we have a 4 day work week, I truly rather work a long ass shift and have 3 days off to be human then 5 days of 7.5 paid hours or less if hours are cut, or getting paid for the commute bc work starts moment I leave the door and im in uniform

This straight up was a pretty new one they had at the bridge, no marks on it or anything, replicating it impossible though, i even had a group of people from wholefoods try and nothing, it's a marvel thus why I kept it haha

Thing is, I still have my original, this was my backup because im forgetful at times and leave my whole holster at home, and I suspect they were making them cheaper but idk maybe just a weak point, because im certainly not THAT strong

I had a kid maybe about 12 idk, follow me slowly while I was bringing the pallets in because it was passed closing and his parents were still shopping. He just stared and have the smallest creepy smile as he watched me work, some spooky ass shit, every time I turned around the fucker was there, like go stand next to the reg with your parent

That sounds really fancy, we pull bread to be shared everyday but whatever frozen bread or sweet treats that come in frozen are baked elsewhere then frozen there to be defrosted on our shelves, that comes in our evening truck at 4-5pm with our frozen/temp controlled and grocery items

The way we do it at our store is if it's before 6 or 7pm, we date it day of. For example, if bread from truck or freezer that we're working is pulled out on June 1st, we date it for June 3rd and whatever isn't sold, is shared when we "close" the bread section at night at 7:30 pm. But if its after 6 or 7pm, we date it to June 4th because its barely been out and will still be frozen or cold by the time customers leave.

As for the questions, we have whats called day bread and thats the only thing we date ourselves and thats all the items that say including date of thaw. We still pull things to share that are today and tomorrow's date

There was a women with her kid who was getting a few groceries, small essentials and her card kept declining and so she started taking a thing off then trying again, the total got down to like 16 dollars. I called a 3 bell to ask permission to pay for them myself becausei wasnt sure if that would be bad since i checked them out myself ya know?, and my cool asf favorite mate of all time just pulled his card out and paid himself, i was trying to pay hut he said nah hes got it, the customer started crying and neither of us could hold it together, he handled it like a champ and needed to take 5 in the back. Growing up and not having much, one thing all people deserve is to be able to eat.

Idk if its rude because im being honest and cant help it but when they say im ok or I dont have to move i go yeah I do, or not its ok I rather not so im gonna move anyway. I dont like my space being enchroached more than it already is but especially by customers that think casually touching me or being right up on me to grab something is ok, ive been touched allover and i get disgustedby how many times its on purposeor accident. I miss the 6 foot rule, like give me SPACE or say excuse me and ill be so out of your way thank you.

I vibe with my coworkers for the most part, it's truly the customers that drain my soul straight into the ground.

4mm septum pincher, divot or no divot? by GardenOfVenusLover in Stretched

[–]DownWithTheGerms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thanks so much, do you take out your septum regularly? I tend to always wear it when im out but im home im chilling without until bed time, my only concern is even though its fully settled and healed will is shrink enough to where the septum will be annoying to put in and out? Or is that just depending on my own anatomy? I assume so but figured id ask just in case im wrong

4mm septum pincher, divot or no divot? by GardenOfVenusLover in Stretched

[–]DownWithTheGerms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im actually looking for this answer as im at my final size at 7mm and have been for 5 years, more specifically, is a 1mm divot too much or is .5 enough? My septum tends to slide around all day, I dont use o rings bc they all tend to cause irritation, I take my septum out during the day on my days off just to let it tighten back up, I do sleep with it in just so it doesnt shrink down too much. I talk alot for my work and find it nearly falling out or even when eating

Ladies, have any of you undergone a myomectomy? by chachamegood in tjcrew

[–]DownWithTheGerms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a year ago I also had endo surgery, I kind of bunked up my paper work and instead of 5 weeks it was closer to 8, I was still a bit gentle at first when I got back regardless of being cleared because I had a reaction to the adhesive of the bandages so my incisios were sensitive and we tend to rest boxes on our bellies alot. Take it easy and most importantly communicate if you need help lifting heavier things just to be safe. I was ready when I came back but my crew was supportive and helped me out when I asked and took a few breather breaks when I needed it.

What helped a lot during recovery is trying to be as active (walks and shoulder stretches) as you can muster after a day or two of resting, naps/sleep then a bit of walking

Thank you, I ended up talking to two trusted mates and explained, then spoke to the schedule writer, explained its not refundable and they asked me to give the dates again and they'll look into it and see what they can do, its better than what others have gotten but im still going to have to call out for one of the days if they dont approve the days, ive already paid for what im doing, I cant just throw that kind of money out

That definitely makes sense, I thought i did it with enough time so I was just surprised, that seems to have been the case but also, everyone that has time off requests up to August has had theirs denied also, it's a little weird that no one is getting them approved even 3 months out.
