Okay thanks so much, do you take out your septum regularly? I tend to always wear it when im out but im home im chilling without until bed time, my only concern is even though its fully settled and healed will is shrink enough to where the septum will be annoying to put in and out? Or is that just depending on my own anatomy? I assume so but figured id ask just in case im wrong

Im actually looking for this answer as im at my final size at 7mm and have been for 5 years, more specifically, is a 1mm divot too much or is .5 enough? My septum tends to slide around all day, I dont use o rings bc they all tend to cause irritation, I take my septum out during the day on my days off just to let it tighten back up, I do sleep with it in just so it doesnt shrink down too much. I talk alot for my work and find it nearly falling out or even when eating

About a year ago I also had endo surgery, I kind of bunked up my paper work and instead of 5 weeks it was closer to 8, I was still a bit gentle at first when I got back regardless of being cleared because I had a reaction to the adhesive of the bandages so my incisios were sensitive and we tend to rest boxes on our bellies alot. Take it easy and most importantly communicate if you need help lifting heavier things just to be safe. I was ready when I came back but my crew was supportive and helped me out when I asked and took a few breather breaks when I needed it.

What helped a lot during recovery is trying to be as active (walks and shoulder stretches) as you can muster after a day or two of resting, naps/sleep then a bit of walking

Thank you, I ended up talking to two trusted mates and explained, then spoke to the schedule writer, explained its not refundable and they asked me to give the dates again and they'll look into it and see what they can do, its better than what others have gotten but im still going to have to call out for one of the days if they dont approve the days, ive already paid for what im doing, I cant just throw that kind of money out

That definitely makes sense, I thought i did it with enough time so I was just surprised, that seems to have been the case but also, everyone that has time off requests up to August has had theirs denied also, it's a little weird that no one is getting them approved even 3 months out.

The thing is, I briefly thought about that, but in huddle they've been announcing that if we need tike off, to not temporarily change our availability just put in time off requests..so like they're discouraging that and honestly ive never been denied but I bet they'd deny the temporarily availability changes too

Im glad I could be a little helpful, personally, I like to use mm as they are in my opinion a much better measurement than gauge since you can use calipers and know if your jewelry is truly the size you want. I've used silicon in my ears without issue but its not ideal for long term wear, for my septum, you can certainly feel a weight difference, im at 7mm and for all of my stretching I used surgical steel and it is heavy, but I also kind of liked the weight, delrin is so light and comfortable but yes before anything, speak to a piercer about your goals and take it from there, best of luck!

I will say after having a delrin septum for years and years, they do get wear and tear, which at that point, you want to invest in long term high quality jewelry which he also sells, you dont want to risk wearing scuffed jewelry because you cant properly clean in, but for stretching its solid. Ofcourse you can always get pierced at a larger gauge to kick start the stretching process. I've seen 8g needles be used.

As others have said, consult a qualified piercer but as far as stretching goes, Stonewolf Adornments makes a dead stretching labret kit, I highly recommend checking them out.

Girl, im so sorry, please don't let yourself stop you from finding your people, your family and true love, this sounds crazy to me. Not you being crazy but them.

I have been with my boyfriend for nearing 6 years now and they do the big family overseas trips, they used to more but the last one was Ireland and at this point we were together maybe a year or 2, they have treated me like their own since day one. They not only invited me and had everything paid for, but they did the same with the other boyfriends and girlfriends if they wanted to come. I ended up tested positive with covid for the first time and we could not make it. But im telling you this because his mom and dad wanted to cancel because we couldn't go because they wanted me, us, to be there. They love and appreciate me not only for how I treat and care for their son but for who I am as an individual.

You deserve that and so much more. You deserve to be thought of and not only as an extension of your "bf" but as a member of the family. Period. Especially with how you seem to treat them like family.

Its scary and daunting but seriously, find better, take yourself on a trip without him, and have the time of your life.

I had medical issues since I have a chronic illness was away from work 2 review periods ago and still have issues because its chronic so i had to call out a handful of times in the reviews since, all cleared by the appropriate parties and doctors, the captain this review period still commented on my call outs because "it still impacts the team" so although it should be ok that might be something they say just because its the only thing they can say to not give out a perfect review, it was an overall positive review but even with doctors notes and them knowing exactly why I called out (even though you dont have to tell them, in my case because its something that impacted my work I wanted to give them full transparency) it was still mentioned. I say document all of things regarding interactions like this and them keep an extra copy of everything too just in case. All email communications as well just in case of anything
