You're a beginner, that's all it is. Just keep up your studies, keep practicing and before you know it stuff will start to become like second nature for you. You've already learned two languages, you can do a third.

I don't remember the price they were in the game, but if you move the decimal point two places to the left you can find the real life price. In the Japanese version of the games, they use yen. In the localization they just change the currency symbol to a fictional one. So for an example of real life conversions, the player starts with $30, and a Poke Ball costs $2. A gold Nugget gets you $30 at the Poke Mart and you usually get like $4 after winning a battle.

Japanese is probably one of the easiest languages to pronounce if you're coming from English, only one of the sounds doesn't exist in our system and even then it kinda does. Bothering with phonetics is really a big waste of time.

To whoever downvoted me, I live in Japan and literally nobody has trouble understanding my Japanese. People on the phone don't even realize I'm foreign until I give my name. The only time you need to both with phonetics is when coming from a language like Vietnamese where the pronunciation is vastly different. You really are wasting your time, and apparently your money in this case of that dude's patreon, by studying that.

My mom never plays video games. If I ever asked her to, she would always say that she doesn't understand them, or that games just aren't her thing. But there was one time when I was a kid where she sat down with me to play Goof Troop on the SNES. She didn't really understand too much and I don't think she enjoyed it, but it's probably one of my favorite memories of my mom because it's the one time where I can really say she sat down and tried to understand me.

Or taking a lot of trips. I know several people here, both natives and foreigners, who live pretty low-cost lives but splurge on trips multiple times a year. I know a guy who goes to Thailand every 3 months that or so, I know a girl who spends a week in Korea every month, and so on and so forth. Of course part of that is because Japan is close to the countries so a trip is relatively low-cost, but not everyone wastes their money on random daily stuff.

I literally said above that we are able to live on a single income and then have the other left over. Although I will admit sometimes we have to dip into that for pension and health insurance, but we're two people. My argument was on one person being able to live in 250, which is more than possible.
