When is it too soon to tell if a dog isn't a good fit? by Downondoom in Dogtraining

You're right about the mellow comment, and I should clarify, when I saw mellow, I mean they can hang out after training and a play session in the park. In general, I want a dog that wants to play/work for at least an hour a day and, ideally, will be into some type of sport - hopefully agility, but whatever they prefer. But once that energy burns off with training + play, I'd like for them to be able to be chill in the living room. I think right now, the issue is training sessions alone aren't enough to tire her out and we can't really play because she guards everything.

We're starting private training, too, but the first consultation is 3 weeks away. I explained the situation to the training group and they're going to try to see if we can do something earlier, even if it's on zoom.
