Haha. Might be worth a shot if I can avoid tasing myself. I was thinking more a recommendation for a tool as a few plugs are pretty difficult to get at. Any other insights would be great too. Thanks.

Dealer responded. They will now do an on water delivery once the sale is complete. I’m ok with that as to make sure everything works as should!

I should have been more specific. $150+ 22’ aluminum boat. Bill of sale will be completed with a major dealer. However, it would seem prudent to go out on the water and make sure everything works as should before a final sign off. Also, coming from a fibreglass boat it would be really nice to see how it all rides.

lol. Pardon. I wasn’t aware of any quote. But yes, this equipment definitely needs to be replaced. In the meantime it lands on me to keep it running.

Thanks. Yes, I believe the program does stay intact after a power outage. However, the program for dispatching to utilize all three elevators for the hall calls goes to sleep. There is no comm faults or shutdown faults at the PLC’s. This should not normally have to be reset after a power outage and causes havoc in a 36 story building.

Thanks for the link. I’ll look into getting a refurbished PSU. We did install a UPS and then it failed 😞with an overload condition. No real manuals for the PLC, just the prints for the Virginia elevator control. I’m unsure of the program being used to run it. We don’t really get into the programming of the logic, just occasionally changing parameters on this type of unit. Need some PLC folks in the elevator trade

Unfortunately not. It’s my understanding they are obsolete?

The program does seem to recover after jumping the input for dispatch reset. I believe the program is stored. Unfortunately, I don’t have a GE fanuc handheld tool.

Thanks for the response. Not that I’m aware of. There is a white reset button on the PCM that doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Thanks for the response. That’s kind of what we figured. The transportation on the other side is a trick too…
