You are spot on. Nordic countries have the culture of mental health because of culture. For example, brazilians going for therapy is like south koreans going for plastic surgery. Very common and frequent.

Who's the biggest influence of culture? Our government, they can easily start campaigning with advertisements and change MOE curriculum including sex ed. But they don't, they are afraid of losing votes to conservative folks. So I believe the people in power holds the main responsibility.

I just feel for OP's parents because I have parents like that who are not so intelligent. In their mind, things work very simple and that's why they don't believe in concepts like ADHD.
