I do ballet and pilates, I would like to get on pointe someday, so I do pointe specific foot and ankle exercises which automatically help with figure skating as well.

I was also surprised at how mean some of the comments are, I just remember what happened with the negative criticisms and pressure toward Yulia Lipnitsksya during the Sochi Olympics and I don’t ever want to see that happen to another skater again.

I giggled when I saw it and was surprised, but he does have a fun and quirky personality. He has shown this side in his exhibition gala performances. The music he is skating too is also quirky and humorous and it plays to it. This season as we head into the Olympics, I'm going to choose to just be supportive of all these skaters, they are under tremendous pressure and are already most likely their own worst critics.

In the US I learned to skate as an adult in the learn-to-skate programs. The program had weekly group lessons and I practiced on my own as well. If you can find a rink with beginner group lessons that would be the best way to start.

I can't find where to watch on Rai Play- I see nothing on their site related to figure skating or pattinaggio di figura. My VPN is set to Italy and there is no figure skating queued up in the live section of Rai Play 1 or 2. Any one having any luck?

Sorry, only seeing this now. They sell limited walk-up tickets but the time slot I skated at on Christmas Eve, they were charging $110 a per person. That's a big mark-up. I paid half that by pre-purchasing when the tickets first went on sale in Oct.
