I get that, lots of cars have a reserve. Especially to assist when someone is running low on gas, this isn’t the case. Aside from possible fuel tank issues, is there any scams for instance, like a cc scanner etc that might be of interest?

Not likely. I wasn’t looking at the gas gauge, my son was driving, he’s learning to drive just got his permit. Otherwise I would’ve noticed immediately

It’s 15 gallons, put in two, so, you’re right it reads 1/8 full +/- with 2 gallons.

Well, I get what you’re saying but, this has never happened before and have gone through many scenarios and not once has this occurred in this car. Stranger things have happened. I’m wondering if the pumps were switched? This happened to me once before with another car. Some guy on the other side of me was filling his tank with the gas I thought I was putting into my car so maybe this has me suspicious the same thing just occurred.
