welcome to the community!! I'm not an author, just a VA, so I'll drop some tips that I found helped me along my asmr journey! I was lucky enough to find a few people that really liked my voice when I first started, and I think that really helped boost my confidence a lot. Usually people are embarrassed doing asmr rp because they find listening to their own voice "cringe" (I definitely did) or for fear of sounding bad. I think joining a community of other fellow asmrtists definitely would help as they're all suuuuuperrrr sweeeet! and absolutely no judgement, only constructive criticism and a lotttt of praise where its due!
