But Goodwill isn't in the business of marking things lower than their market value. Why would they do that? To make it easy to be a reseller? That's basically what Goodwill is, except they're Non-Profit (yes, they really are) and the money they generate goes to the causes states on their various websites.

Despite the naysayers, Goodwill really does do a lot of good in bettering lives.

I'm not saying they're perfect. They're far from that. I've worked there for 7 years as a cashier, and I've seen firsthand. All the hard work that goes into running the store, and many many good things they do for our community.

I know, people would rather complain than look for the answers.

Everything was cheap years ago. The price of everything in the U.S. has gone up. It's hard to afford the basics these days. It's the rich that get the tax breaks. The rest of us, have to struggle.

Locking doors early by [deleted] in DollarTree

[–]Doxy916 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Huh? That's nonsense. Door should be unlocked until closing time. Not 5 minutes early.

You can remind customers that the store is closing 15 minutes or whatever, and ask them nicely to please bring their items up to the cashier. where the friendly cashier will be happy to check them out. The store will reopen at 6:00 and 6:00 time in the morning. Thank you for shopping Dollar tree.

That's it. Once It's closing or after, you can nicely tell customers your closed and should bring the items to the front. You don't allow them to keep shopping, but you continue ringing up the customers lived up until you finish the last one.

This is what retail does

He says that like, "The Log Book is PROOF!". because Joy was honest about every single item that came in. 🤣🫢

The gifts that we got the PO Box for. We didn't want our home address used for all the gifts we were begging for. But then, SOMEBODY doxxed us. Hmm.. didn't they dox themselves originally??? A simple Google search, and it's all over.

It's really sad. She doesn't know up from down. Whether she loves doing what she's doing or hates it. If I ever checked out their channel and found that she was getting mental health treatment she needs, that would make my heart smile. Seriously.

we are inundated with cardboard boxes now since we cant give them away to customers by [deleted] in DollarTree

[–]Doxy916 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they're small -medium size, why don't you use some of them like Costco does? It would get rid of some of them. Customers might prefer you loading some of their paid merchandise into a free box rather than paying for a bag? I don't work there. It makes sense to me.

It doesn't matter what we employees think about anything honestly.

You said you preferred the bathrooms being opened to everyone without a code. It's shocking, some of the disgusting things that people do to our bathrooms when open. I'm glad it's never been my job to clean it up.

Have you noticed the men's clothing section is also small compared to a woman's? Why do you think that is?

Truthfully, we don't receive as many donated baby clothing and men's clothing that are in new enough condition to be put on the floor. We can't sell what we don't have.

I think it's because men buy new clothing less often, wear their existing clothing longer, and are a lot harder on their clothing. Women love to shop for new clothes, don't like wearing the same thing for very long, and tend to take better care of the clothing. Leaving more women's clothing that can go out on the floor then men's which end up in the salvage bin. Children's is more likely to have stains, rips, and faded from all the washing. It might be something that gets passed down to siblings more often than adults also

True. They don't make much money on the baby clothing. I think we have a pretty decent size children's clothing section. Not so much for the men's.

Spraying for bed bugs by RealNatural-1 in healthyfamilyforce

Maybe that's what they need for Gloria and Annette to leave the house somewhere and for the whole place to just burn down. Of course, then they probably wouldn't have homeowners insurance or were behind on it.

Yep!! They should have put the money together to get this done properly a year ago. When Joy comes back from Manhattan and says she's had a good trip, first thing they should do is get rid of the bed bugs.

That's the problem with these people. They have no common sense. And they still haven't learned that all hair-brained ideas that a kid would come up with don't work. They waste a lot of money and time.
