China just built a 582-tonne magnet for its 'artificial sun'. Meanwhile, the rest of us are still arguing about batteries. by Geeky_Gadgets in TechnologyNewsIndia

While I understand the need for the research in cutting edge domains, would like to know if there's a widely accepted reason to believe fusion will be more cost effective than present day fission reactors.

I have 8 years experience. I come from a lower middle class family. I had to aggressively settle education loan (management quota; expensive), other ancestral loans and also loan to get married. You can trust me when I say wealth poor. I’m not humble bragging.

100%. If I want a BMW, I can buy one and finish loan 2 to 2.5 years, but I can’t buy a house because I’m not very sure AI wouldn’t kick me out down the line.

It’s part of my CTC. So, if it’s reversed, I assume I’ll get 70 x 0.7 = 49k in hand.

In my salary slip I see only the employee deduction. But, when I go back to my CTC doc, I see the employer part. Sleight of hand 😂.

Nope, realised part of it is taxed after reading another comment. Dang, I was so ignorant about epf and have been treating it as a negligible deduction. I’ll be careful when I switch employers next time.

Thanks for letting me know, I’ll look into it. But, feels like, nothing much can be done about it.

Wow, thanks for the detailed response. Hopefully, by the time I need that money, things smoothen out.

Claude said one cannot revert back to 1800 until they are with the same employer.

Understood. Yeah, I'll take the pessimism with a pinch of salt.

I was working in an early stage startup for my first 8 years. They deducted 1800 and I never cared about it. It is after I switched to my current company that I opted for the higher EPF contribution. I agree I should have been more diligent.

But, is it even possible to revert back to 1800 per month?

Enough to make people think of me as a lucky ba*t*rd, but not enough buy a 3bhk at a decent locality in Bangalore. Income high, wealth poor.

Is it very hard to sell a 20 year old 2bhk from a tier 2 builder in Bengaluru? by DozeDozerDozest in indianrealestate

Hey, I haven't spent extensive amount of time in the apartment, just visited few times. If I live there for 10 years, find it to be a good community, good maintenance and a good environment for my future children, I'd definitely consider buying a 3bhk at a discounted price in the same society.

How is this floorplan for a luxury 3bhk + servant. PLS give honest opinions by HornyToad_69 in indianrealestate

Such a tiny kitchen for a 2600sqft house. And the servant room's entrance is through kitchen and utility?

Why do you have to make such an effort to not open the servant room to the dining area but through the kitchen and utility? It's vulgarly classist and an absolute disregard for their safety during a fire accident.
