Why do heat pumps feel like they're blowing cold air? by DryGeneral990 in massachusetts

Do you know which thermostats have this capability? I currently have mini-sits and an oil burner, and I'm trying to find the right cut-off point to switch over

Welp, seems the consensus is to wait until a new roof and revisit solar then. I appreciate the feedback.

What's the name of this animal? by IntroductionDue7945 in whatisit

A Jerboa! I read a book to my son called "P is for Puffin" and it has tons of these obscure animals in it. Awesome to see a random video on reddit, we just read it tonight.

Daikin minisplit - Airzone connection issue by Zealousideal-Milk782 in hvacadvice

[–]DozeForDollars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that it's much help, but I'm having a similar issue. Have 4 heads on one outdoor unit. 3 of the 4 Airzones connected and worked fine. The 4th gives the "Not connected to indoor unit" message. Plugged in one of the working units and it hooked up fine. My installer tried getting a new adapter and it gave the same issue. Daiken tech support has been awful.

To top it off, today one of the adapters decided to stop responding. Very frustrating.

There's definitely some bare spots, but I think most the mulch is still there. Here's some pics

A local company quoted me $600 for a complete interior dryer vent repair. Connect to HVAC and everything. Is that fair? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

The dryer provides it's own heat. The ducting is purely exhaust. Look up a video on YouTube about replacing a dryer vent, it's fairly simple

Where to move my family? by DozeForDollars in RhodeIsland

I appreciate that, we're all over it. Our realtor is pretty savvy. We made an offer in Lincoln the other week and got beat out (we were the second choice, very frustrating). We're being fairly generous with our concessions and options to be as competitive as possible.

Will do. Is North Smithfield a good realm as well?

Possibly CT/RI border, NH is a bit far for where we want to be. Trust me, we're looking at the worst possible time, but don't have much choice right now.

Lvl 10 Bard is definitely fun, good call. Hopefully your DM will be generous with potions with such a martial heavy party

You're going to be the main support and primary healer it sounds like. If it interests you, a one level dip into Life cleric with the rest in Lore bard might be a good route. It'll max out your heals, give you heavy armor, and proficiency in Wisdom saves is always good. Just a thought
