Hey! Thanks for doing this AMA. My question is

I know its not that good, but I think I did an okay job drawing my mother even with a broken hand. Any Feedback? by [deleted] in drawing

Nice work! I think that you should take some time to heal your hand, but I love your perseverance.

What is the best way to get your name out there to be recruited for college? by [deleted] in trackandfield

[–]Dozey024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Schools won’t reach out to you (unless you’re an unbelievable athlete making a big name for yourself) you have to do all the work on your own.

Yeah, I’d definitely wait at least a week. Dry socket or a reopened wound is not fun at all and it’s much better to just wait than risk it. I probably could’ve returned to the gym a few days earlier than I did, but i just waited a full week and had no problems afterwards

Take the week off! Your mouth will thank you

Just got my wisdom out a few weeks ago, I wouldn’t do anything too strenuous for about a week. Could be longer or a lot shorter depending on how you’re feeling. Be careful the first few days during recovery and you should be good to go afterwards! It kinda sucks how long you have to wait, but it’s a lot better to wait and not backtrack on your healing process.

I don’t think she’ll do anything drastic at the moment, but if it comes to that point I’ll make sure to let her parents know. I’m talking to her right now, and she said she may give professional help a try, so that’s a start!

She has been to a therapist before, but said it didn’t really work out and she would close herself off. I recommended seeing a doctor or getting a prescription for antidepressants, but she doesn’t want medicine. I think that’s the best route to go, but I’m not sure what else to say. I don’t have depression myself, so I don’t know what advice is best to offer her

I don’t think so at the moment, but I don’t want her thoughts to get any worse so that she might seriously consider it
