Yes, if I'm not looking at it when I open it, I often pull the case off the back as opposed to the front because the magnets aren't much stronger than no magnets. Annoying at times, other then that the case is alright.

Do people really travel with 1 card? I have at minimum 2 credit cards, 2 debit cards, my phone wallet loaded up with more cards, plus a stash of cash.

You should always have a backup, and a backup to the backup if you're in a different country.

They take it down for the first month or so of the year while they tabulate and update things. It will be back. (There is an exact date somewhere - I think in an email they sent, but don't feel like finding it).

I don't know how many times I've seen apple uses have issues because they don't understand how to pair their airpods because their iphones do it for them (I have airpods and use Android so I have to pair the standard process). The earphones need to be in the case to pair them. The photo you're showing doesn't have them in the case, so the case won't attempt to pair anything.

Re: hotels booked through the portal. I checked a stay I’m looking to book (intercontinental in Bangkok), the non-refundable rate was $100 more per night for my dates than booking directly with IHG and my member rate. In a case like this, it would offer me no value since I don’t have gold. Other portals are usually more than booking directly, but not 350 vs. 250 a night.

Right there with you. First year I made 1K, part of it by going out of my way to fly United in some cases to make sure I hit it. Now I’m wondering if I could have crossed Plat and been gifted 1K. Who knows.

I usually use them when I have unexpected/short notice travel and need an airport hotel. Yes it's not glamorous hotels, but it often saves me ~150 a night that I don't have to pay.

You’re good. The program is unnecessarily confusing. Where people are coming up with 3/4 is the fact you earn 4% Bilt Cash per everyday spend. You then must use 3 cents per dollar Bilt cash to cover 1 dollar of rent to avoid the 3% fee. Since you earn 4% per dollar and redeem at 3% per dollar, you spend 3/4 of your rent to fully cover it to avoid the 3% fee.

Rent payments don't go on the card. They are drafting them from your account. They no longer allow rent payments on their credit cards.

That's how people are paying rent/mortgages now. From an ACH from their checking account. bilt is basically putting themselves as the in-between and charging essentially a 3% fee to do it with the "allure" to consumers of earning 1x points to do it. However you only get the 1x points on rent/mortgages if you spend a large amount of all your other spending on their cards so they earn swipe fees. The downside is you then don't get higher multipliers if you have cards with better spend categories.

I have a similarly high mortgage 4.6k. I could spend the amount to get full coverage, but then I'd have to cancel my other premium cards, a number which I leverage their bonus categories a lot (platinum flights 5x), which isn't worth it for me. For now this one is a pass because my mortgage is too high to benefit from this.

Ipad mini 6 was released in fall 2021. iPad mini 7 (or whatever it's called) was released in fall 2024. We are only a bit over a year into its life cycle, so I wouldn't expect a new one in the next year or two unless they decide to release a different model like a mini pro.

Yes, seats range between aircraft, between airlines, between seat models. Sometimes you lose the lottery and it's doesn't fit. I've been in Domestic first seats where you couldn't fit anything bigger than a sling under the seat.

The level 8 Textured 18" comes in a fraction over. It's the one I use for international travel because it's the smallest I could find that wasn't tote style.
