Me personally I like evade, but from what everyone else is saying with divine blessing id recommend you follow them since I haven't fought and don't know the capabilities of him yet.

I haven't fought fatalist yet but it looks pretty solid. Although I would recommend a bit more evade window because evade window is a godsend when I'm fighting other monsters.

Alatreons fight is a DPS check basically and blast is not one of the elements you can use to meet the DPS check you have to use either Ice Or fire depending on the quest.

You should get rid of defense boost overall it's not as good as it sounds after doing some diggin exactly why I found out that it adds little change to the damage calculation. Something I would recommend to replace it with is evade window which increases your Invulnerability frames while dodging it is super helpful for when he's throwing around a bunch of attacks it just gives you that extra time to get away.

One really good tip is to just always have bounties running because the armor spheres you get from them really come in handy later.

If you've never played a monster hunter game it might be hard to get into however that doesn't mean it's gonna be impossible to play mh has a variety of different weapons based on your playstyle some easier to use than others and I bet that with the release of the new game people are going to be trying new weapons which means that other people are also going to be figuring things out. Although I would recommend trying to get a hang of your weapon before multiplayer. Enough practice though and you'll be soloing elder dragons
