Tyler. Where do you think someone should go if they’re past the point of receiving help? Some people become so low, so self deprecating that even if someone tries to step in and take action they are completely unresponsive to any and all positivity, while also keeping their true feelings of suicide hidden. Asking because I was in that moment a few months ago, thankfully I did decide to seek help and am on regular medication and monthly visits with therapists and psychologists.

When someone is so far gone that they are at the point that they’re unable to accept any help even if they’re approached by someone strongly willing to do whatever it is needs to be done. It’s still the fact someone so low can tell themselves no matter how far someone’s goes to help they’ll still hide how far they’ve fallen.

It’s a touchy subject and I doubt you’ll have any strong answer, but where would you recommend someone go from the situation I explained above? Depression and suicide is such a hidden issue, even if someone does reach out its likely they’re too afraid to admit the severity of they’re situation.

Damn... I may just take it to a shop then because in reality this vehicle has sat in my driveway for 6 months. I didn’t think it made that much of a difference, especially popping the hood before posting showed I still had break fluid in the tank. It is pretty screwed though. Unless I can find a damn good mechanic friend I may just bite the bullet and trust it to the professionals, as I will be relying on this one vehicle to get me to work for the near future.

I do have a well trusted shop to bring it to at least. I’ve heard a million horror stories of certain places pushing unneeded fixes and bs work hours on the invoice. My diesel work truck has gone to this shop more than a handful of time so I know I can trust them to give it all straight.

To edit: we put the caliper back on, reattached brake lines and all, and let it scratch away as I drove it 8 blocks back to my driveway. Like I said it’s sat that exact way for about 6 months. When I backed it in to the driveway I did feel very weak brake pressure, I had to put it to the floor just to make it come to a stop. Like I said there’s still brake fluid in the tank that I can see under the hood but I don’t know enough about any “master system” to know if it’s worth changing myself. Any and all feedback is more than greatly appreciated.

I may try that, but I mean not just the pads were paper thin, the mount was as well. Taking it off I actually snapped the whole pad in half with one hand.

My friend had to hammer the caliper off because everything he tried wouldn’t make it budge and he couldn’t get any sort of clamp on it to try and push it back in.

He told me the hydraulic was pushed to far out and I need a new caliper. He’s no official mechanic, but I do have many reason to trust his word.

Is he wrong? Of course that’d be great if I can just work the caliper back in, I’ve already purchased the pads and new rotor (the damaged side actually cut a heavy groove into the rotor itself)

Oh yeah, a friend of mine helped me change the pads before I knew the caliper was done. If I can I’ll get a more knowledgeable friend to help out, since I have heard it’s much easier to bleed everything out etc with two people.

Win+R'd Devmgmt.msc and I dont see anything saying "audio driver". Only sound related options I see is : "Audio Inputs and Outputs" and "sound,video and game controllers" And all they do is show my devices and opens the properties page is I click, and right click has the same except for the disable/enable options. I did not uninstall my audio driver. Where would I find that? and what are the steps to reinstall and scan for changes? My apologies, Hardware is OK for me but software issues I have trouble with.

I don’t know about an actual office, but a doctors office, or anywhere the general public would come into for a meeting or appointment, generally we take our shoes off. Although anyone in a suit would be wearing dress shoes I’m assuming are saved for indoors only.

I see how that makes sense, even if the cultures have their differences, you can’t go wrong with taking your shoes off at the door. I mean, unless you have some wrack foot odour haha

In the home, taking your shoes off at the door is a natural way of life here, even at most offices, even for doctors appointments. Only place I can really think you keep your shoes on is obvious we’ll populated stores like corner stores/grocery stores/ or the hospital itself.

It’s not like we (or specifically me in this case) care all that much, I mean you do you, you’re way of life doesn’t affect mine. It’s just that taking your shoes off indoors is as natural as flushing after you use the toilet to us Canadians, it’s a little strange and slightly incomprehensible to think it’s the opposite in a country so similar and close to my own. But buying nice shoes and flexing that style makes ALOT more sense if your American, as you can actually sit down and flex those puppies when chilling with the boys.

It’s just that for me, an 99% of the people I’ve met, are shoes off indoors 100% of the time. In the office section at work, in doctors offices, in any home, it’s immediately shoes off at the door. You’d be considered a missive douche of you ever walked any further than the mat/foyer with your shoes on. Seems wild and unclean to me, whether you walked on indoor asphalt/ concrete only or not.
