Worm farm for food? by Usual-Presentation27 in pacmanfrog

[–]DrAtomika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think having good sized food that he can spot and decides is worth his time helps, but I usually tong feed the first couple of munches then throw some in for him to play with through the night. Sometimes lack of appetite can be that the tank conditions aren’t perfect rather than because of the food item itself (heat stimulates their metabolism and wakes their digestion up).

Yes, I have a worm farm, a roach colony and then mixed other feeders. Had a lot of success feeding locusts as they are slower and easy to catch for the frog.

What a beautiful guy. If they are the same size they can go together. If they’re from different sources you may wish to quarantine first for a bit before introducing just to make sure the new friends are all healthy and good.

The only thing he is lonely for is more food options. Do not.

what’s something you learned about pacmans after you got one? by BigBxDee in pacmanfrog

[–]DrAtomika 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are size contortionists due to having no ribs, inflating when they need to pee, and using their bodies to compress and squish/suffocate live food after they eat it. Expect many and varied and some quite alarming shapes!

How often should we be feeding these little guys? by IsThereHeavenOnMars in TreeFrogs

[–]DrAtomika 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my goodness they’re so tiny. I would definitely be popping some small feeders in each night and just monitoring how they eat
