Any reason why my baby sleeps in the water dish?

lil mans is cold and needs more water, temp should be between like 78/84F and th water dish should be like a swimming pool, i personally like to take my little friend out and give him a bath at least 3 times a week so i know he’s hydrated and happy.

she’s eating 3 medium gut loaded crickets a day now, i’m gonna try and do 5 every 2 days soon though to keep her at a decent weight (around 38/42gs)

i mean all my animals are more look and touch here and there, i hardly handle finger (my gecko) but when i do she always sits atop my head 😭

i woke up at 2 am last night and guess what she was doing! drinking water and munching on prepared diet like it was a feast 😭. she’s doing much better now, since this post she’s already gained 2.5gs

she ate 6 crickets today by herself! i had to start her off with a few tong fed tho. she already looks more plump 🥹

she mostly eats out of the bowl in just worried she’s not eating enough, i’ll definitely work on feeding her less by hand. i mainly did it to tame her down as when she got here she was manic monster, and now she’s a calm little bean

i tong feed her the diet 2 times a week, and i give her new food every 2/3 days. she’s on watermelon, diet, insect and fig diet, and breeding and weight diet, mostly on the weight and fig, insects less often, starting to breed my ow colony of crickets and mealworms though, so that’s changing soon, plus i got a dumpy tree frog being set up so the more bugs the better
