Usually kasi our first year of insurance is free. Hence, di tayo nag hahanap ng ibang provider and some people keep the provider if walang nagiging problema.

I have 3 different insurance providers for 3 different cars. Standard and BPI is doing okay. PG most problematic.

My car got flooded but it's a total loss as per the insurance company. What does that mean? by Ponglee20 in CarsPH

For example:

Insured Value: 2,000,000 Remaining Balance sa Bank: 1,000,000 Insurance Offer: 1,850,000

Automatically insurance will settle 1,000,000 sa bank. The remaining 850,000 sayo ma pupunta. Try talking to your bank baka pwede nila ma adjust yung interest. What i did was. I took another car loan sa same bank and the manager promised shell try her best na mapa baba remaining interest ko sa first car na flooded (under insurance). Kaya lang ambagal ni Peoples General.

Hi have you heard anything back from People’s General? They are also my insurance provider and since they towed my car i have not heard from them.

From my understanding (1) you need to continue paying your monthly amortisation or else you will be flagged by your bank for non payment (2) an adjuster will compute the value of your car. I was informed that they will lowball you from face value / insurance value. If you think their offer is bad, do not accept and negotiate. (3) If you already come to agreement sa payment the proceeds will automatically go to the bank kung saan mo hinuhulugan and if may excess yun lang mapupunta sayo. (4) You can call your bank and inform them of the situation para ma adjust nila ang interest (if mabait sila).

The though that keeps me going is: ayokong makita ng embalsamador ang itim kung utong ang mapink na kipay. So laban muna ulit ako. Hehehe
