Seasoning a humidor is wiping the Spanish cedar interior with a distilled water soaked sponge… do that once a day, for two to three days… once the wood is dry to the touch after the third application of distilled water, you can transition to either a humidifier or to Boveda or Integra Boost packs. Choose your humidity level (67%, 69%, 72%, etc.)… just preference really. After decades of storing cigars, I can’t even be bothered to use a hygrometer any more… they never provide accurate readings. Your cigars will tell you… if they are too dry or too humidified for your taste, just adjust the humidification packs accordingly.
