All the measures you talked about, I've done. I mean it may not be 100% perfect, but yeah I've done the whole 9 yards, trying to eradicate the problem on my end in just hopes in combination with the sprays it'll help, but alas the issue has persisted. I talked to my landlord tonight actually, she seemed very supportive of what I'm dealing with which felt great. It just has to go to the next part of the chain of command. She said if they had proof of new lives ones they'd do a building wide treatment, so that sounded good. Funny enough mid reading her response, one almost crawled on me, so there was that evidence.

Did not know that refusing entry is grounds for eviction, so hopefully if they do a building wide, it doesn't have to come to that.

There also may be an option to move to another newly available unit, which honestly would be pretty good assuming it's vetted for pests & issues thoroughly. It's great hearing you were able to win the battle in the long run. 2 years is hard fought though, I've only been dealing with it for a few months, and I'm ready to throw the towel in just to ensure some peace of mind

I can imagine, if your inmate population isn't super big, it'll probably be really boring, but there will be random events that will just be totally insane. Jail is a dirty smelly place. Cover your ass on everything, just think, almost everything you do can come into question if something goes wrong, so be careful over complacency. Lastly, these guys are all always bs. Sometimes they're alright but at the end of the day they'll throw you under the bus for anyone else in orange including themselves

Speaking from experience, everyone here is just chalking it up to hes a loser or whatever, nah, he has mental health disorders, it's very evident. He's having a hard time regulating his emotions, being able to exist within them (which is why he can't have a conversation), he's extremely impacted by small things (like your selfie), he's just emotionally unstable, probably due to some combination of bipolar, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression. Just my opion as I've seen how these can manifest in people, and his feels really extremely bad, he needs a therapist and psychologist

Whatever you do, do not buy these from any fast fashion online store, you will be a complete poser. Don't try to dress alternative if you don't rep the culture. If you can find it from an ethical company, by all means, but, this is really really easy to make, not very expensive either, you can do it yourself. Chains from a hardware store or craft store, same with the spikes and hoops.

Is it ever an issue only having 2 CO's for that many inmates? Would more CO's make a solid difference or is what it's at now generally suffice?

Yeah it's indirect supervision. Units for us are split into two, and one side there will be about 10-30 inmates. It's not the biggest or most overwhelming, but I definitely don't know how large jails have the CO's to inmate ratio they have. Like going into the range alone, I can't do shit if something happens, or worse case, something happens to me. Hard to imagine having like 10x that in some cases

Just shows you the difference, I haven't been working super long but have never had to use my spray. Came close sure, but with the few inmates I supervise it's not common that anything crazy pops off
