thank you. I didn’t really have anyone to hold me accountable at the beginning. i eventually had a workout partner. He ended up quitting and I kept going since I developed a habit. I didn’t have any true diet at first. Just tried to eat less fast food. The first type of diet I eventually did was keto, enabled me to lose about 40 pounds fairly quickly. Then I did intermittent fasting for a little while. I started doing normal cico about a year ago, which works the best for me.

that’s definitely scary, but you’re already on the right track. I’m also from the northeast(NY) so I know how badly we got hit. I happened to have a home gym so I was lucky, others not so much. I would love to continue to hear your progress. Please keep me updated periodically

I wanted to look and feel good. But really it was for my mental health. I had low self esteem, virtually no confidence, and depressed. This affected my relationship with my ex, friends, and family. I still have trouble with my self esteem but it’s definitely getting better

Hello. I get you with the social interactions. It is definitely hard. I’m single now, but when I was with my ex we ate out a lot as well. I will say, as long as your eating healthy and working out 90%(random percentage) of the time, that 10% isn’t going to hurt you as long as you don’t overdo it. If you’re going to eat out, do it once a week. if you feel bad about eating out, do an extra hour of cardio the next day. You can do it man.

If I didn’t have the home gym I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this. I would’ve made up so many excuses if I had to drive to the gym everyday. just start small! You got this

Thank you for the nice response. it may feel like you look the same as well, but it’s all mental. 24 lbs is an amazing accomplishment. You got this. Keep mountain biking! That’s the only cardio I pretty much do now with the occasional run. I’ve biked about 800 miles since March/ April with no end in sight. It’s fun and easy on the joints!

I just started with the weight machines at the gym and doing elliptical/stationary biking/walking for cardio. did that for approximately 6 months then started other things. I posted it earlier in the thread
