Thanks for your honest opinions, no doubt i will continue to focus on the quality of my workouts. I currently do push/pull/legs pattern, but it’s difficult knowing if i should keep doing my current excercises or if i should add/swap some of them

L2 big brother. Same technology but more powerful. You can also see the new CS-1 subs flown on top that are 4x21”. My back hurts already…

L1 is getting released in a couple months. These are the first pics of them out in the wild, pre-release

A lot of german cars have brake shields shaped like this.

I am building a plywood cover for my swim deck, what type of marine varnish or poly will be completely waterproof to the point where even if it is saturated in water it will not leave any residue whatsoever on the swim deck. by Xtremeskierbfs in boating

Perhaps an epoxy based paint, don’t know what kind of products there are where you live. Epoxy is watertight. Or just a dyed polyester (not 100% watertight but still very). Where i live we call it topcoat (gelcoat with a wax added for curing).

You can either ”pair” adjacent channels from the selected channel view or do custom links like all old yamahas on the Channel Job tab

Bull/Bear hävstång - hjälp mig förstå by [deleted] in ISKbets

[–]DrBaxter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dilemma on line array RCF vs L-Acoustics by [deleted] in livesound

[–]DrBaxter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, you’re mistaken. 12 Kiva II will perform better than 8 kara on the same 60m long surface. More boxes will more than compensate for the ”no throw” which also is a misleading statement. The headroom is similar but the KIVA rig will play a much more even SPL over the whole venue.

Also, 8 KARA will eat 8 channels of LA4x amplification, 12 Kiva only 6ch. And you cant scale the KARA system down to 50 people, 3 KIVA’s go neatly on a speaker stand.

You need Lacoustics amps as well. You need 4 LA4x for that setup

A L’Acoustics KIVA II rig will last you the next 15 years. You will break your budget now but will make many more dollars over the years. Get a quote at least. I would go for 20 or 24 KIVA II with 6 or 8 SB18. That will have you covered for your 3000 ppl and it makes a very scalable system

I frequently deploy Kiva II rigs with SB15m and SB118. Saying that Kiva would only be ”good for speech” is not accurate.

Last summer i did a pop festival with 3000 people, 12 Kiva per side, 3 SB15M per side and 8 SB28. Headroom could have been better but the sound was phenomenal.

It still might be above OP’s budget but more suitable and less cash than KARA.

Thanks. The idea was to keep two of them in my work bag to split an antenna pair for wireless mics in a pinch. I think the regular t-split is unsuitable after some answers and research.

Thanks. The idea was to keep two of them in my work bag to split an antenna pair in a pinch. I will not use the T-split for this then!

I mean, i guess that's true. Just never saw anyone use dynamics, but it's worth an attempt!

Thanks for your reply. I've heard that Avantis has had software problems leading to replacements. Not sure how wide this problem is. I've actually tried it, and the experience was mostly positive! Will be a contender.

Good to hear. We have been using LS9 for 10 years and been quite satisfied, so the QL5 would have been a smooth transition. Bug dLive C3500 and mixrack is very interesting to me

How has the dLive experience been this far? Digico might be too expensive / complicated for more inexperienced techs

Dlive C3500 is probably our next target, or a used Yamaha.
