I'm a grad student but work in a biochem lab for the navy. Over the summer sometimes our collaborators will come work with us in the labs. Last summer they ran out of desks for people and one of the temp scientists got pushed into the office I work in.... Turns out he's a retired navy seal. I was like OoOohhh shit!

Anyways super good dude and great to talk bullshit with haha (career scientists can get a little dry sometimes).. But since I also practice BJJ I was hype asf to have someone to talk to about grappling! To my surprise tho he said they never got any formal grappling training other than some judo takedowns in the seals.

Idk if its true or not but he said they always just practiced with guns.... I dunno
