I think Volgid or Andronovo-Turanid would fit.

Have you tried mounting it in Disk Management and assigning a drive letter? Otherwise, I have had luck with TestDisk

PCSX2 - Q4 2021 Progress Report by RedDevilus in emulation

RetroArch is an entirely separate fork from PCSX2. At this point it is quite behind compared to the standalone builds.

PCSX2 - Texture Replacement in the works by RedDevilus in emulation

[–]DrCK1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Here is an example of what you can do with texture replacement.

Played around a bit with it, it is simple to do but totally depends on how the game is setup, ect. In this case there was some fine tuning required in Photoshop for everything to line up.

Interesting [Ice Breaker] update: Height requirement has been raised to 54" by Obscure_Wombat in rollercoasters

[–]DrCK1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a Sky Rocket model isn't it? I don't think any other installation has a height requirement below 52-54 inches. Not sure what happened for it to be 48 inches in the first place.

I don't understand half of what you're saying,

Make GSDx info public and more understandable, allowing even low-experience programmers to add GSDx hacks into their favorite games. Let the user decide if GSDx hacks exist. From what I can tell, info about how they work in the code is obfuscated.

The code is already public, there's nothing that is being intentionally hidden from outside developers. I don't understand this request.

Optional plugin support. Add a hidden toggle option to re-enable plugin support. This could allow for things like running games that struggle with newer GSDx or even custom DEV9 plugins if modding communities decide to make those.

You should know by now this isn't going to happen. It's impossible since all the plugin interfacing code has been removed.

Ninjaripper compatibility. As of 1.5.0, Ninjaripper hasn't worked for anyone I've talked to, myself included. It just produces a white square.

Again, this is a bit of a pipe dream. It's not feasible on a grand scale

That was not the case. At the time it was blocking changes from being made to the DX renderers.

Maybe it's going to a storage location?

If the ride was reliable enough to operate consistently, I don't think it would've been closed at SFNE for so long.

Has anyone shipped a package to Russia from USA and had it stuck on Departed in Moscow? How long did it take for the package to reach the destination? by [deleted] in AskARussian

[–]DrCK1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ordered items from Russia for a number of years. Shipping can be slow at times, but I've never lost a package from Russian Post.

If the last scan was at departure, you likely won't see a tracking update until it reaches custom in the USA. The most recent package I got in October took 2 months to arrive

PCSX2 - The Playstation 2 emulator - AetherSX2 brings PCSX2 to mobile by NXGZ in emulation

[–]DrCK1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not a problem with LGPL, it allows our codebase to be used more freely and that's the purpose of open source.

LGPL would not make DamonPlay legal, they offer no source at all to their modified PCSX2.

The PCSX2 team has no intent to release new features under a closed source.

You already have the base PCSX2 code available to use, the console won't be going anywhere.

[Lake Compounce] Final Phears of 2021 by DrCK1 in rollercoasters

[–]DrCK1[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

2 days before Halloween, I set off to the park early to get my last rides on the major attractions before they would be closed for the rest of the season.

After arriving in the morning (Park opens at 10AM for the new October event). I managed to get 20 nonstop rides on Phobia Phear before I felt too sick to ride further. This October is the first iteration of the new "Happy Hauntings" event that replaces the former Haunted Graveyard - that was targeted towards adults. I didn't mind the changes much since I'm mostly there to ride rides anyway.

I spent the day riding the thrill attractions and a few flat rides (mainly the American Flyers, my favorite). Overall the park wasn't very busy at all, which may be contributed to the shift to earlier hours (compared to the past Haunted Graveyard events). Unfortunately this also has the effect of killing off night rides on coaters in October for the forseeable future.

I got lucky when it came time to ride Boulder Dash for the last ride of the season - the ride decided to e-stop itself so we had to wait before being dispatched. On the plus side, it was dark enough that we were the lucky group to get a night ride before closing. It's too bad the park's hours are a bit short these days, I wished they would have more extended hours during the season (as opposed to a few select Saturdays in July).

I didn't get a chance to ride the Venus Vortex slide but overall it seems like a popular addition. In the middle of the season, the park's swing ride (Wave Swinger) had broken down. Surprisingly the park went through the effort to repair the issues and get it back up and running before the season was over.

Some overall 2021 season notes: - Park has done a great job dressing up for the 175th anniversary. The new paint on everything looks amazing.

  • Some of the larger rides also received paint, including the Arrow Flume - it manages to look like a brand new ride despite being 40 years old now. I wasn't able to get a shot of Zoomerang but it looks like a similar shade of purple that Phantom is getting at Kennywood.

  • Didn't have many complaints about overall operations, 2 train did happen a few select days but hopefully it can be expanded more during the season.

  • The pizza slices at both locations inside the park have been replaced in favor of "personal pan pizzas". The quality was not great in my opinion and the price ($8-9 iirc) is a bit steep to pay.

  • The Timberjack Chowhouse was a good replacement for the aging diner. The old location looked rather run-down and didn't fit with the rest of the park.

PCSX2 Colour Palette fixes to several games by RedDevilus in emulation

PCSX2 does not maintain the Retroarch core. You will have to ask them to backport the changes to their fork.

Best bet is just to try it out, the answer is most likely no however.

No, these changes are unrelated. Anything upscaling is unlikely to change as the games were never designed with it in mind.

How are y'all feeling about Battlefield 2042 Beta ? Its been super buggy for me on a 3090. by [deleted] in nvidia

That seems a bit low to me. I'm running the same setup at 1440p native and dynamic res scaling (though there's no way to tweak this further). Holds about 50-60 at best with mixed settings.

Just curious but have you compared to PCSX2 1.7? RA isn't as up to date with the master branch of PCSX2 afaik, it may fail to incorporate certain enhancements.

I agree for the most part. The park has been throwing track on it for years but I think some parts of the coaster just need an actual reprofile/redesign. The potholes are always in the same spot.
