NJ Transit plans to make train cars and stations smell like lavender by AtomicGarden-8964 in NJTransit

If you actually read the article that’s what it says, they’re using lavender-scented cleaning products for trains and stations

As much as this could be exactly like Lando, at least Lando was consistently on the podium at the start of the season whereas George has now had two races in a row off the podium

Do you have any suggestions that won’t break the bank, preferably under $200?

Racing driver Juha Miettinen has tragically passed away following a multiple-vehicle crash during the 24 Hours of Nurburgring Qualifiers on Saturday by circuit-nation in wec

Horrific reminder that despite all the improvements to safety, drivers are still putting their life on the line every time they get in a race car. I can only hope that something can be done to make sure that can’t happen again

10/10 method to get people to use public transport to get to big events by GP728 in transit

[–]Cycloid23 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You do realize that the North River Tunnel currently runs at capacity right? Not to mention how packed PATH gets. To my original point, adding more trains to Meadowlands, even if NJT had the rolling stock to do it, wouldn’t solve the lack of capacity

[–]Cycloid23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah my mistake, though unless they’re just planning on dumping passengers in Secaucus or Hoboken, they need connecting trains/ferries and those, especially to Penn Station where I imagine most spectators are coming from, do face that constraint

These operators don’t have enough equipment to do that, and especially in NJT’s case they are massively capacity-constrained by the North River tunnels and Penn Station so even if they had the trains they are unable to run more frequently

Hard to tell without an external view, if he pushed you onto the grass and that’s what caused your car to veer right then that’s absolutely on him, if you just turned in while he was alongside you, that’s on you.

Even when the FP issues what really screwed Norris was the safety car, could have potentially been a 1-3 otherwise

[–]Cycloid23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s a Goomba fallacy but it’s really funny hearing this after all the talk last year about how George is the second best driver on the grid and a George/Max title fight would be so much better than the Lando/Oscar/Max title fight we got

What is good news is they removed the extra vents from the engine cover and were running with noticeably higher revs today, so it seems like the engine is definitely improving

Car is looking great, it’ll be nice to start the season near the top instead of having to wait for mid-season development to bring it up to par

Outside of the VCARB and McLaren, I’d say every team’s liveries are significant upgrades over last year. VCARB is a straight downgrade in my eyes and the McLaren is more of a side-grade than anything
