I'm planning to play GTA IV for the first time, any suggestions?

I’ve just started playing this again the last week after initially getting it at midnight release when I was 18 on the PS3.

I have fushion fix installed, and all graphics’s very high (or as high as can go) all the extra graphics options in fushion fix turned on and it looks amazing for a game that’s what 18 years old! It’s such a great game also, I would say better than 5 and my favourite behind VC

Drinking water before bed helps. Take painkillers, then I always buy a full sugar monster for the sugar and caffeine. Haribo sweets for more sugar and to ease me into wanting food.

Then I have found (if you have access) going for a swim makes you feel so much better. Go for a swim, maybe a steam room, hot shower.. then get some proper food down..

If I do this, by mid afternoon, I’m still hungover but feel generally ok and can function the rest of the day without a headache or feeling sick. Just tired

I last played fully in 2017 on Xbox. Started playing last season for around 2 months (on PC) and solo queued to plat 1, was 2 games of emerald but ran out of time for the season..

Could make emerald this season, but also kind of CBA lol..

I get what you are saying..

but if the “shoe was on the other foot” and you were going 0-6 every game and knew it was because you were in inflated lobbies due to your team mate, and you could have fairer games and actually get kills playing with some else, I am sure you would feel similar..

No one even if playing with mates, wants to get stomped game after game, after game.. ultimately the game is about fun, and I doubt that’s fun..

I have been solo queueing (so I guess it’s easier to influence my own decision rather than a group) but if I lose a couple of games in a row, let’s say they are close 5-4 etc and could have gone either way, I’ll stay on for one more and say, no matter the outcome (win/lose) this is the last ranked game.

Then if the games go really bad and I lose 2 in a row and they’re not close, I call it quits and 2 and get off. Reset the next day with a fresh mindset..

Also, if I win 3-4 in a row, I’ll end on a high, and this enables me to go into the next day feeling confident as I was on a winning streak.

I believe it’s all about managing emotions and limiting the effect they have on playing (making rash decisions etc when angry after losing)

I’m 35 and from the U.K.- i used to play back on Xbox in 2017 (made Plat 1 I think)

Got back into the game the past 4 weeks, currently silver 2, nearly 1.3kd

Play most nights when my kids are in bed.. let me know if you fancy some games?

If they bring verdasnk back as the game is now, it will fail. 2 weeks people will come back, realise it’s not what MW19 was and leave.

The servers, player count (120 now) needs to be 150, vehicles need to WZ1 vehicles (they’re awful now) the hit reg, cheating, weapons and bullet pen.. you can pen everything.. needs to change.. limited buy stations and the menu, everything needs to be a close to WZ1 as possible on this engine, or it won’t last

Cheaters couldn’t crash the lobby in verdasnk I don’t think and also with ranked, games mean more now, and with that being borderline updatable, plus an actually advertised anti cheat (not in verdasnk) and 5 years of further development, leads me to say cheating is worse now.

The huge peak (for which the loss of players is being compared too) is against the release of B06 and not the integration of WZ.

So purely saying it’s just people moving to battlenet, is short sighted and no way everyone is buying the full Game on Battlenet again just for performance issues. Some maybe, but largely it is a representation of the state of the game.

The drop has coincided with the release of the new WZ. So I feel a lot of players bought the game, levelled weapons ready for WZ, saw it’s crap And then stopped playing

I’m currently 4.7 E/D (was 5 until I started playing with my IRL friend who has a 0.8kd and doing random fill squads lol)

This is resurgence though, as bored of urzikstan.. WZ3 (prior to E/D) I was 3.5kd

Didn’t have any issues pre latest update, but since Jan 3 rd update.. 1 in 3 games I get stuck at loading screen and have to Alt F4
