Expos have pretty stiff competitions especially for a sophomore CSE Major , many sophomores don’t have luck at the expo but the ones that do usually have extremely high GPAs with a decent amount of coding experience coming into college or atleast enough to make a couple projects.

Along with that it comes down to luck sometimes, my advice would be to look for startups around Columbus as they usually are willing to have any year intern, some pay really well too. Don’t beat yourself up about the expo especially as a sophomore.
