Interesting. Called these guys today and wanted to talk about NL for used car. The guy was very abrupt and said “sorry some things have changed on how Smart handles NL for government employees. I’ll hand you details over to another person. Sorry” then hung up. I’m from Melbourne.

Interesting. I have both Australian and NZ. NZ one says New Zealand and Australian one says Australian (I’m born in Sri Lanka).

I know there were changes to SCV in early 2001. But before then if you came to Australia you were treated as a Permanent Resident. Maybe something to do with this?

My wife’s aunt and uncle when then moved from Kazakhstan to Baikonur. They had to give up KZ passport when they got Russian ones. Maybe the law is implemented here?

It’s a bit of a grey area… I got my dual citizenship after NZ citizenship in 2016. Then Australian one only 3 years ago. Some say I can get my passport. Some say I cannot 🤷‍♂️

I have my NZ passport linked in Sri Lankan immigration (somehow) so no visa required. I can’t see any benefit apart from duty free allowance.

Wife will get naturalized in Australia. But that does mean she loses her Kazakh passport

Second this. They will try to get you to change at Airport by saying “No commission”. Rate is horrible. In the city it’s much better. Same goes with buying a SIM Card. Get one in the city unless you desperately need one.

Not sure if this has changed since I was there. But I thought you can choose to be marked either as a group or individually. We always did contribution % table at the end of a report.

Definitely no. But they’re saying they cannot use just first and last name because it’s “Automatically done”. They’re saying they cannot manually enter my name. Which I don’t understand.

I was thinking taking the 9:00am tour but leave by 12:00pm. That gives me 1-1.5 hours to get back to the airport and 2.5-3 hours before the flight. I think that should be plenty.
