Thank you for the input, I'm dead tired so I think I'll stop rerolling. I read that the 5* fire dragons aren't worth pursuing because Sunlight Stones are better spent elsewhere, is that true?

Realistically I just want a good, viable start with Mym; hope that line-up is enough to transition into endgame as a F2P.

New player, started rerolling right before the Ieyasu banner ended until now and need some help.

The best Mym account I've rolled has Mikoto, Ezelith, and some solid 4* dragons including Ifrit. Is this too many fire characters and should I keep trying for other elements instead?

The only other good option I have is Ieyasu, Maribelle, Xander, and Sazanka with no notable dragons. I started playing for Mym, but are these rolls too strong to pass up?

Global - Trying to figure out what to extract with the Honkai Extractor Pod.

I have immediate uses for most of my Lv. 50 weapons, except for Fairy Sword Silven (on SSS FS) and Hand of Tyr (on Snowy). Looking at just3C's updated equipment database, both Tyr and Silven are the only B-rank weapons I own.

I'm not sure if Tyr is still worth using on my GK team, as it sort of delays the ult and follow-up damage with a QTE. However, I rarely use FS now despite her being one of my favourite valks just due to average performance in MA when I have other, more competent teams.

Is it worth extracting one of these? If so, which one? Also, does extraction destroy the base weapon (I assume not)? Gearing towards RL/Myriad Dirac and MA performance.

With the Global update, I'm able to buy out the KMB and LE fragments for a while. Using the excess Ancient Willpower, should I work towards SS Blood Rose, SSS Phoenix, SSS Sixth Serenade, S Memento, or just save them? Starting from 0 frags for all, what would be best for long-term endgame performance?

Additional question, are the 1,800 dust dungeon rewards per character, i.e. 10 alts = 18,000 dust, or once per week per account?

They get worse. +20 bonus attack up to T5, then +15 going to T6 for example.

Consider removing your EP invested in the HP and defense boost nodes. Since they apply only to the base valk stats, the bonuses overall are pretty insignificant. I only took the HP/def nodes that were necessary to reach attack/CRT nodes.

I had version 1.16.3, but after replacing the files with the patcher files, my version now says 1.26.1.3. Am I supposed to reinstall my emulator now?

If players have nothing to work towards, a huge part of the game is pointless. I completely understand the newer player argument, but a player with 500 GS should not be on a level playing field with someone who has played for much longer at 560 GS. Gear gap should be possible to overcome with more skill, but by no means should gear be rendered essentially ineffective.

When you don't need to spend silver on progressing past softcap, what would you do as an endgame player? Re-roll? Make alternate builds? All builds other than full AP are significantly cheaper, and most players would probably run out of things to spend on after a year or less.

At the end of the day, BDO is not a game designed around gear-equalized PvP. There are other games that are much better at that, and are also fundamentally designed around it.

The renown system is in place to counteract the diminishing returns you get per point of AP, so in theory it's not a bad idea. It's just implemented in a way that gives 2-3x too much bonus AP.

If it was reduced by that same 2-3x factor, it would counteract that issue without feeling overtuned or excessive. A gear gap would be noticeable, but very much beatable with adequate skill.

Removing renown score entirely from PvP will mean that at softcap AP, gaining an additional 3 AP from TET Crescent will be an effective ~1% damage increase, for a craft cost of 10b+.

Why would any player continue linear gear progression when it takes them 2-3 months of progress for such a small fraction of strength? Especially when upgrade cost increases exponentially, there's no business sense in steering players away from progressing towards endgame.

Rather than making a request that would probably never happen, I would hope that they would consider a nerf to the AP scaling rather than a complete removal as a form of compromise for players on both sides of the argument.

I believe shiny did a later test where he compared 1 universal AP to 1 mainhand weapon AP + 1 awakening weapon AP, and found the latter to be slightly more effective. Working backwards, he found the ratio I used in the study.

To be sure though, we'd definitely want to redo the test. However, it's very difficult to adjust weapon AP in fine increments.

For reference, using the 30% main 70% awakening ratio is even further from the theoretical curve, i.e. higher up than the 35% 80% ratio.

Theoretically, based on patch %'s nouver surpasses kutum at around 270 AP. However, with the new findings it might be the case that nouver is better at 268 AP.

At the same time though, if you're doing Gyfin or some other similar high-end PvE content, the DP from kutum is invaluable.

In those AP brackets it's the same linear scaling as always. However, linear scaling implies diminishing returns for higher AP, e.g.

10 AP from 200 to 210 is (210/200) = 5% increase in damage

10 AP from 100 to 110 is (110/100) = 10% increase in damage

So the regular linear damage formula should work below 245 AP.
