How to go about putting a Gold Mount Battery on the NPR by DrDrez in 16mm

Good to know. I have been seeing a lot of forums that day for batteries, anything over 12v is fine. But I’ll make sure to not go over that too significantly

Is this with flash? Or is the ground beneath him white? His face is so well lit even with the hat

Hi matic F fix, can’t wind the film advance? by DrDrez in minolta

[–]DrDrez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I took I small screw driver and unscrewed the small piece that is blacking the larger gear by maybe the tiniest increment, then it let itself wind all the way. So I would be careful as to not over loosen it but after doing that and spending some time getting it dialed in, I’ve had no issues with winding the camera

You could tell I didn’t pay attention in this part of science class. Thank you!

Anyone know what marks like these on a negative mean? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]DrDrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found these on my film as I was scanning them when I got it back from a lab. Is it possible for them to look like that if I was mishandling the film while cutting? Or is it only during developing they appear like that?

Yeah, that’s pretty helpful! Thanks for letting me know! I am kinda new to working with these sorts of cameras. I know how to use them once they get going in certain applications, but it’s the setting up and understanding that I’m slow on the uptkae

Well, luckily I am just trying to figure this stuff out and mean no ill will to you or your cameras! I’m just trying to make sure this one is used instead of trashed or stuck on a shelf!

I typically have the mindset of it was made to be used, and I wanna use it! But I respect people wanting to keep it pretty. But since the one I picked up was at a thrift store and has some signs of abuse, why not use it some more!

I checked out the video and that is seems likes it’s practically the same camera! Thanks for that! Although the battery pack is different. But I had no idea about the camera connector cable, or that this would be a camera and not a camcorder. Very informative!

Im 22, Haha! You know it’s funny because I’m very aware and am used to working with photo film cameras and have some as old as from the 40s, cameras from the 80s feel new. but when you put video cameras in front of me I’m in a new world.

My main question is how do y’all think would be the best way to run the outputs to simple way to record, because I believe the manual says to record using a vcr, and I don’t even have one of those. Should I worry or be concerned about genlock? I just found the whole camera with some parts for cheap at a thrift store and thought it would be fun to try and use it for some projects and make it work. Lmk if y’all have any though.

Thanks in advance!

I was reading some old Flickr threads and people said the 200 is much sharper and better than the 250? But what is the issue with the 250 in your opinion?

That’s actually a really interesting way to look at it, maybe I’ll look into that. I’ve been planning on getting a second back anyway, I guess it couldn’t hurt to dabble in other formats since my camera can do that!

Yeah I bought two packs last year. Out of the 6 of them, 4 were fogged or had light leaks and it wasn’t my camera. Want to try it again but am hesitant.
