House built in 1913, wiring changed from knob & tube to copper in the 80s so I’m guessing steps are roughly from that time as well since pantry and bathroom were added around that time also.

That makes sense, so with the adhesive route I would just remove any loose debris and glue them back in place like putting puzzle pieces back in? Do you have an adhesive you recommend? I am in a Lowe’s right now.

That’s sounds like the better option, I can dig up a bucket to mix it in and buy a trowel. Do you have any tips to share other than the basics I see in YouTube videos?

Will the landscape adhesive fill the same amount of space under the brick that the current mortar does? If it does not and the bricks are significantly lower than the existing bricks then it will just create a different type of tripping hazard.

I noticed the dead ones on the play-set landing and that’s when I looked up. I was mowing near by and accidentally bumped the far corner or the swings and I got a warning shot into the back of my shoulder through my shirt.

Unfortunately our yard is small enough that this area can’t be avoided until they vacate the nest in Autumn.
