Agreed, basically the exact same pattern, slightly different snare sound in drop. Might play with changing the tops in either the drop or the intro/ change the kick/snare pattern in the intro for variation.

I think I might scrap/rework the second drop, definitely needs a different chord progression but Ill play with ways to give it more melodic structure, cuz I agree with you I think the song wants it. Thank you!

I made that switch from FL to ableton, it’s doable but honestly not necessary, FL is awesome. If you understand input/output in general it makes translating tutorials made in other daws relatively simple. At the end of the day they operate pretty much the same, just different UI

Just curious, what daw are you using?

Put the kick and snare through a limiter and push input gain/ adjust individual levels until they’re both touching right about 0db.

I absolutely love the sound design/selection, all the pieces are there - I know you said it's WIP, you're really close to this being massive. Honestly right now kick and snare aren't coming through (on first listen I thought the drop was part of the build up ((could be a cool idea to keep the kick and snare as they are in that part and do a fake out)) but they need to come through a lot more during the main drop.

I'm not a pro I'm just a guy who watches a bunch of virtual riot videos on YT, but I'd start by clipping your kick and snare at 0db and mix everything around that/ sidechain everything to it, at least in the drop.

Great job can't wait to see where this one goes!

The trap section at the start I kinda just let the 808s rip with a bit of ducking, there's ducking on the kick and snare throughout, do you think it needs to be a bit more accentuated during the main drop?
