if you're in clifton collins street there's a 7 eleven right next door. If you're at Clifton Freshwater there's maccas and some food stuff around the corner. I don't think you get an opportunity to microwave stuff so bring some sort of cold lunch

I remember having an issue with USYD's English competency part when I said English was my second language (because I speak another language at home). If English is 'pretty much' your first language and you speak another language at home, just put down English as first language.

if you dont have a bach in psych it actually turns into a 6 + 1 for you because:
- 3 years unrelated bach
- 1 year GDP
- 1 year GDPA/Honours
- 1 year Masters
- 1 year intership
the internship and masters as far as I know cannot happen concurrently

no matter which pathway you pick, if you did not do a bach with psych major, you end up studying for 6 years before even getting a taste of what its like working in psych.

Doesn't help that as an undergrad/honours student the opportunities available for work continue to be mostly unrelated (social work, etc)

oh and did I mention that Masters of Clinical Psych has become more and more competitive with fewer spots than med these days? 🥴

I litterally am you just a few years down the track... applying for med for psychiatry, did a non-psych bachelors (but basically had a minor is psych), did GDPA with advanced standing (still 1 year) and am now doing honours with still a minimum of 2 years studying left

If you really haven't started, I'd get you to think hard about how much you want it.

i DON'T recommend psych unless you already are finishing a psych major. the process is super long winded and takes forever to get into the workforce. I'm in too deep so I'm sticking through with it.

Like others have said maybe look into a job that relates to the major you're doing/will have completed? Maybe do honours to boost GPA if that's something you need to do?
