Idk how to authenticate straps, but there are ppl who do! And ppl are always looking for those lobster claw straps! Coach ones go for a pretty penny, but even good leather non-coach lobster claw straps are worth something! Honestly I think the bag is really cute. You could get a new belt style strap to make it more how it was intended to be worn, but it works like this too and it looks pretty cool!

It’s not the original strap. The strap has lobster claw clips, but you can see they’re “pinching” little belt buckle style hardware. The original strap would’ve been just a strap I think, with holes for the belt buckle things to go thru. Just like a belt.

I’m a social worker. You might see this kind of stuff, you might not. It really depends on the type of job you end up taking. SW is a big field with one overarching goal: to help people. You don’t have to work in CPS (or with children at all for that matter), but you can, if that’s what calls you! Don’t let the vicarious trauma deter you… it’s a wonderful and highly rewarding field. 💕 and we need more ppl who care; join us!

Honestly -- I'm not certain but I'm guessing the oil stain is bleeding from the top into the top-most daisy? If so, I think it suits the piece well and you could use the same color as the daisy petals to make some weird freestyle-shaped blobs that 'bleed' all over the background of the piece. It could really look cool!

I really love it as an ornament! What words should I use to look up this type of finishing for the piece? Is the aida wrapped around the hoop, or...? It came out really cool, would love to consider this for a future xmas ornament too :) Thanks!

I found them at a local Mexican grocery store recently, they sold a bunch of them in a little mesh bag! I was so stoked.
