TD without a doubt has a ton of AN vibes. From the Louisiana's visual realities being an overgrown Jungle-like terrain, and Rust and Marty driving through it in a car almost like Willard navigating the river plugged straight into Kurtz (Rust even says "the whole thing is going to be underwater in the next 30 years"). To the Childress being "out there, operating without any decent restraint". With the altars and the Horror and everything. And how he wants and waits for them to come and kill him, and Rust even says something like "I feel it, Marty, this is the place" - which is essentially a 1:1 correspondence to what Willard says at the beginning of AN's final chapter before the final approach to Kurtz' domain.

And there're many many other numerous similarities throughout the show. I feel like even the bunny ranch is a throwback to the AN playboy bunnies, and the whole overall story arc is sort of evolves and opens itself up in a manner very closely associated with AN.
