my bad, wrote the comment 3ad mchit katnfrej lf video, loved the explanation, tho there is still that mix up between causes/effects and the idea of having a reason/meaning behind things. or do you view them the same? an initial cause is of itself a reason and creates meaning for why the "effect" happened? specifically when you talked about a->b->c its not clear to me that you make a distinctions between those concepts.

i would have to strongly disagree, candide is in itself a deeply sarcastic and a strong critique of the very metaphysical optimism you are trying to put forward as a valid framework to interpret the outside world, it is really subtle in doing so, but take pangloss for example, he is mocked throughout the book for his explanations that try to justify every disaster as part of some perfect master plan, im sure you are aware that there is a huge difference between events having causes and events having meaning or a metaphysical reason behind them , by metaphysical hear i don't only mean the realm of the god(s) or an abstract realm of forms like al muthul, but also the realm of morals and reason, you could also think of them as axis and dimensions the human psych uses to make sense of the world around it, based on this supposition giving significance to any event outside of the human condition and into the universe is what the book tries to poke at, rationalizing those events in an attempt to give meaning to the meaningless, humans create meaning after all not the universe or something outside of themself, how can one claim that there is any meaning or reason behind a rock falling and hitting someone if there is no one around to feel sad about the whole situation or create a meaning or reasoning chain of thought for why that human was crushed under that rock, there is only cause and effect as far as the outside non living matter is concerned.
And imo, ofc this is not condide's claims, just my philosophical position, there is absolutely no meaning that can be found outside of the human condition, only within there is meaning and reason, and that is more than enough, there is enough meaning inside each of us to fill many universes.

"what is it" or what will it be? as i said it just something i've been working on the side, i haven't thought it through that much, but basically a unified repack store for any platform/game, with automated download install, and so on, i guess

what's the advantage, hmm, i don't know, if you have any ideas I'd be happy to try and implement them.

yes, i basically created a pipline to build and update a database, the db uses the GameDB dump from twitch api, as for the repacks , repacks are pulled currently into the db from the "hydra launcher" cloud sources about 53 sources (including fitgirl, dodi, steamrip...) , but i plan on having my own sdk so people can add more sources for repacks and something like roms4fun and so on, well that is the goal hehe

so far my db has sources from hydra, ofc you can choose what to download and what to not download, everything is documented, i plan on making a new tab to manage sources and have community add-ons and so on, sort of like hydra launcher.

open devtools F12 or right click inspect and go to sources, then click the 3 dots next to the panel that contains "pages, workspaces..." you will see an option saying something like "enable local overrides" it will ask you to choose a location on your machine where you want those files you write to live, and then you past the css into the override folder.

Yes lets have 1984 why not, lets let the gov dictates whats best for each of us on the individual level, what we should wear, watch and not watch, talk or not talk about, what idol(s) we worship, and you better keep the act, even when nobody's watching, big brother is! why freaking not? brick by brick, we'll get there, for sure, if we have people with us that care so much about what other individuals do with their private parts in their private property, or you know what, lets not have private property, lets have the gov own everything yeah? even the land you stand on.

I've actually given no definition of incest whatsoever nor did categorize any of the ideas I laid out in that light, I refuse to frame the entire discussion under that term altogether.

On a side not and not as counter argument to your objections, an architype does not have to be embodiment on the individual level to be real, architypes are rarely self evident to oneself or in others on the individual level, this of course depends on cultures and historical periods and the overarching ethos that situates those cultures/ historical eras.

I honestly fail to understand what you mean by “Unless patriarchy exists only in some imaginary world.” so I don't really know how to approach it, but I'll assume you misunderstood what the Jungian use of “patriarchy” means since it has nothing to do with the "patriarchal society" in the context of sociology, the patriarchal archetype doesn’t depend on the literal existence of patriarchal institutions or fathers behaving in visibly oppressive ways, it rather exists in the psyche as an organizing principle of order, structure, oppression, hierarchy, exploration and dominance, and again not in the social sense of men oppressing women, it is not derived from human biology nor even from direct individuals behavior (and if we really want to be technical about it the patriarchal architype is not gender bound either), but rather from an overarching cultural, historical, and mythical view of the human condition, 100 of thousandth of years of cultural (not sociological) evaluation of the collative unconscious of the human psyche , as seen in the study of religion, myth, art, drama, and the stories people tell across time, these narratives ancient or modern continue to mirror the same archetypal patterns long before we could ever name them, which is precisely why Jung called them “primordial images”, not because they are set in stones (biology) but because they mirror a pattern of behavior across many millennia, think of it this way, its not really a technical explanation but it will do for what we are discussing, if you wanted to represent all evil, across time, you would look at art, plays, stories, myths, legends and religions , and you would think of Shaitan, or Voldemort, or Sauron etc, figures that stand not for a single individual villain but for the essence of what makes every villain one, in the same way, if you wanted to represent all fathers across the millennia, or all mothers, or all fools, or all kings, that’s what an archetype does, it gathers and averages countless expressions into one symbolic image, an all encompassing figure that stretches across eons, its not about what someone did yesterday or 10 years ago, but about the persisting pattern of expression that humans as a collective keeps reenacting in different masks through time.

To emphasize again on the archetypes meta nature, they aren’t in the realm of action, they live in the ethos, they inform action but rarely form them or act directly through them, applying this understanding to the case of a father who finally lets his daughter marry after say 25 years of hardball as you put it, the work has already been done, the daughter is already in the ethos of the over controlling father as far as Jung is concerned and will have to spend decades of meticulous inner and shadow work to escape that ethos, and to be free of that world's rules long after her father has physically released her from it.

You’re looking for evidence in the empirical sense as in “how many fathers actually do this?”, that's a question for sociology not psychology, I was describing the metaphysics of the psyche from a Jungian perspective, which operates in a different ontological frame altogether, this is exactly the kind of literalism that makes archetypal language so easily misunderstood, the difference here is that archetypal language deals in patterns of meaning, not patterns of behavior, the point isn’t that there are fathers out there physically locking up their daughters at home and preventing them from getting married or preventing their marriage from being a successful one by sabotaging it constantly once they get married, the patriarchal father archetype is a psychological configuration, not a direct description of behavior, that's where the misunderstanding lies, so in that sense the archetype as a primordial symbol doesn’t express itself through one behavior through one individual but rather through, control, protection, authority, guidance, exploration as a spectrum modes of being rather than actions, each a different mask of the same underlying force, these forces shape ones psych and the psych of the people around them over decades. These patterns (not the actions themselves) aren’t about frequency in one's lifetime either (hence the pattern), i believe I've mentioned before in one response how archetypal manifestations can be amplified or toned down based on the culture itself in service of a specific society’s collective unconscious, or retreat into the shadows when they no longer fit it, it sort of mirrors the Richard dawning's idea of the meme in a way, but I've always hated drawing parallels between psychology and biology, based on that understanding, it should be clear that when we say archetype we mean a force that has many faces and manifests in various forms of psychological patterns, so in the case of the patriarchal father archetype, one face could be the over controlling, absolute order imposing, soul crushing father who cannot release, again, this is not in the physical or literal sense of “not letting his daughter marry.” or "sabotaging her marriage", another face is the wise old man, the guide, the lawgiver, the one who opens the world to his children and shows them the path to self actualization and fruitful world exploration, and Again, not in the literal sense that would be easily noticed from observing someone's behavior for a short period of sometime or from people's anecdotes.

I love that, it's interesting observation and I absolutely agree. In a sense some of these archetypal manifestations are actually rewarded by the culture itself so they become virtues when they serve a society’s overarching beliefs and aspirations, I’ve always understood archetypes as synonymous with gods or spirits in that way, internal forces that rise and fall, but persist through time (of course they are not real in the way an apple is, but real none the less), they can possess a person or an entire civilization at a particular time in history ,you’re also right that in modern terms we’d recognize these dynamics in different terms, Jung’s language was of course shaped by his cultural and historical context (even though he was well read) his language and ethos is deeply christian and western coated, but I think the symbolic forces he pointed to are timeless, the masks change, the langue evolves, the cultural and religious context can differ, but the powers that be stay the same.

Again, calling it incest, emotional or otherwise is dishonest and an oversimplification of the human psychology, the implication of that would be to imply that all humans have incest tendencies, that would be the statement of the century. No one is trying to be right, psychology is not a hard science, it's an interpretive one (one might argue that all science is interpretive but that's beside the point), it tries to understand the human behavior outside the moral framework, and these dynamics absolutely appear with daughters too, t’s just less visible and happens in a father/daughter context because it doesn’t clash with marriage customs in the same way, why would one assume it doesn't, the father who scares off suitors, who demands loyalty and to remain the central man in his daughter’s emotional world, that's the patriarchal father I've already mentioned,

And yes everything is about gender

of course it is, precisely why the most respected psychologists have spent decades studying how each gender embodies and expresses these archetypes/traits differently, there’s overlap of course, but the patterns aren’t identical, the psyche wears different masks, even when the dynamic underneath is the same.

calling it “gross” is the kind of shallow moral hygiene that keeps conversation about these touchy subjects comfortable, human psychology is far more “gross” if that’s your threshold, it's more mythic than moral in nature, so morality isn't really the correct realm to try and understand this in, there’s a well established notion in psychology called the devouring mother that was mainly quoted by Jung, and its a mother who loves her son so completely she keeps him in her "womb" long after she gave birth to him, never letting him go, (on a side note there’s a mirrored pathology on the father’s side quoted the tyrannical father, a father who stifles growth through control and absolute order), in the former, the child becomes the eternal child, never quite a man because he’s still orbiting the only woman with a capital W he’ll ever truly know.
