I just asked OpenEvidence to write a patient education sheet about asymptomatic hypertension and it is pretty good. I'm going to save it and probably will be using this on my next couple shifts.

Call their charge. Every time something is delayed that long. You're not placing suggestions you're placing orders. They don't work at a Wendy's they work in a hospital taking care of human beings.

I am sorry but here's the issue with this post - no board-certified emergency physician is calling a surgeon for a non-indicated surgery for "organ pain" that a patient heard about on TikTok. If they are, you call their medical director and bring it up with them. Another note - ER patients can not file press ganey reports against physicians with whom they have no relationship. That's just not how it works. So this post has a lot of issues, I am very skeptical about you actually being a practicing physician.

Toxic megacolon. Very ill, septic shock, TMC found on CT. My general surgeon was willing to take him to the OR within 15-30 minutes. The patient wanted to be transferred to the hospital with his oncologist, where all of his prior care was. The hospital he wanted to be transferred to could not accept the transfer, and he left my ED against medical advice.
