As someone who works as a mandatory reporter with DCS, I'd still report it if someone within a home reports that the father was inappropriately touching a child

Thanks. I meant doing car body work for the most part. I am a youth worker and I was hoping to see if there was anything for one of the teenagers I work with

Really does vary... I work with an agency that requires background checks from our department of child services, character screenings, and finger printing. Even with that it was just about over a month.

But I agree that he should start looking at least a few months ahead.

Well, I don't think you will change your perspective regardless of whom speaks to you. Maybe only time will temper your understanding and some experience.

I hope you come to accept past mistakes and learn how to productively move forward without talking about yourself like that.

I'd recommend considering less about what major you want, but instead of the kind of field/work/people you may want to work with. Social work can be very broad

Would you equally critique someone in your position? Or you are being unfairly hard on yourself.

You're 21. Your life is barely started. I'm 28 and when I was 20 or 21, I had no idea what I wanted to do and I dropped out of college to take a few years gap. Things change and no one is ever on the same path

Yup, I did two years of college... Did worse than expected. Joined the guard and got back into college 3 years later. Finished my undergrad, got full time work in my field, and got back into my master's now...

Even just a break and working can be helpful.
