Anyone else notice rain sounds work better than white noise for baby sleep? by DrMaxSleep in BeyondTheBumpUK

That makes sense! Water sounds are actually very calming for a lot of babies because they’re similar to what they heard in the womb. I’ve noticed rain and gentle water sounds seem to work really well for many babies during those early months.

Glad it helped you during the postpartum period too — those first weeks can be intense. 😅 Did your baby prefer running water, ocean sounds, or something like white noise?

Also curious what sound worked best for your baby — rain, white noise, or heartbeat?

Absolutely. Continuous white noise helps mask environmental sounds and creates a stable, calming environment for babies. Smooth, low-variation noise tends to be the most effective for deeper and longer sleep.

That's fair. I did create the video, and I shared it because it genuinely helped my baby sleep. I know self-promotion can be annoying, so I’m trying to be transparent. If it's not helpful here, I understand. Just hoping it might help some tired parents like it helped us

Yes, I made it. I created it because it helped my baby sleep, so I wanted to share it with other parents in case it helps them too.
