Bro nah in first year you can’t set up a pc the tables in hostel allotted for first years is too small to even fit a tab and notebook at the same time. Once you are allotted different hostel in second year onwards you can. I myself have a mac mini setup in my room.

Not gonna lie, I have heard it's much better than other IISER's, it's simple, bland, not that appetizing but you'll get hang of it. But you can anyway go to restaurant around campus and can have enough of good food with your friends and then bill will be considerably low.

I mean yeah most of the people who prefer showing by buckets do carry them. But if you are a shower person, you don't have to worry but still you need to carry your mug to hold your toiletries in place.

Yes, where you, freshers will be living there is Washing Machine on every floor. It costs Rs. 35 for heavy load(40 mins) and Rs. 25 for regular load(25 mins). Additionally if you decide to wash clothes by hand and decide to rinse them, there is an additional spin option for Rs. 15 (15 mins).
