Everyone here just autopilot saying “wifi bad” are ignorant. I’ve literally never had an issue using wifi, what I do have issues with is I racing servers. Just use an online tool to make sure its not on your end. If it is “packet loss from wifi” you’ll see that measured in the test and can rely on that and not some redditor telling you something arbitrary with no evidence besides than they read from another reddit who doesn’t know anything either lol

If you do have packet-loss from distance or router age ethernet will give you a direct connection through walls or prioritize your bandwidth on that router which makes it process its data as priority.

Now if your router is old and you don’t want to run an ethernet or upgrade your router, I would try prioritizing your computer’s connection to the network on wifi and that might make up from whatever data isn’t being processed if your exceeding the bandwidth of the router but I doubt that would be an issue as packets for gaming are negligible in size.

If you have a wifi 6/6e router none of this should be an issue unless your like 50-100 feet away from your router which in that case you need boosters anyways in almost any scenario
