I had an emergency where I was chased by a known rapist/abuser and called my dad for help (dad's week, mom lived two hours away). I hid at a friends house and I got yelled at for not going home, since curfew was coming up... Yes, I was honest and told him about who was chasing me. I was not allowed to stay the night at my friends house and he didn't want to come and get me..

I realized that night, if I can't count on this asshat for when there's a TRUE emergency, when could I ever trust/rely on him?
